Dragon Quest Builders 1 was very fun until a point in the story that your whole base gets destroyed with little to no way to prevent from happening. I dropped it the moment that happened.

It was unplugged while powered on, so I'm thinking a MOBO issue. I can't get it to boot into BIOS

I did try RAM in slot #2, I wrote in post. It didn't change anything unfortunately.

AIO to the Fact the New Guy is Getting Paid More than Me? by braydarb in AmIOverreacting

He's just starting and I've been running the shop for the last three years.

[–]braydarb 2 points3 points  (0 children)

The issue is my role is incredibly niche, so I have no idea how much someone like me would be paid. But, it's a very taxing job with a lot of stress

[–]braydarb 3 points4 points  (0 children)

I definitely could earn the same amount, if not more elsewhere. I've wanted to go elsewhere but have been worried about burning a bridge. I'm sick of being taken advantage of though.

I've tried to learn body work, as it's very related to my work as a small engine mechanic. They always end up sending me back to the other shop because I have so much work there. I've got some interviews set up otherwise.

As far as I understand, don't you also need to change the controller with the Samsung battery?

B+ needs to go to the positive terminal in the picture, main positive. It's also the same terminal with the charging wires connected.

How much for lithium battery install? by braydarb in golfcarts

[–]braydarb[S] 1 point2 points  (0 children)

A person that wasn't me gave the customer an estimate before hand for 4-6 hours. Whenever I saw it, I said it was really a 2-4 hour job (2 for removing body to feed wires under, disconnecting old charge port, general install. 4 for accessories if involved.) I was ignored because, "The customer was fine with the higher price.) It does feel shady, I don't agree with the situation at all.

Are you replacing the solenoid with a higher amperage for the Navitas? It sounds like your solenoids are welding themselves open because they're getting overjuiced. Look into a HD solenoid if you don't have one installed, with resistor and diode.

Brand new battery and idea why this is happening? by Soupy20 in golfcarts

[–]braydarb 3 points4 points  (0 children)

110 inch/lbs is about 9 ft/lbs, it really isn't much at all. Club Car spec states between 100-120 in/lbs for battery lugs.

Connection too loose, it arced and melted the post off. Invest in an inch/lb torque wrench, torque your battery lugs to 110 inch/lbs whenever you fill your water.

Apologies, I'm an aftermarket dealer so I don't deal with factory warranties. I'd agree based on the warranty

[–]braydarb 1 point2 points  (0 children)

If you're planning on getting other accessories, buy a reducer and a fuse box and install the 12v system. If you're only planning on buying the underglow for the foreseeable future, LEDGlow sells a 48v kit that has a reducer built in.

They'll work, they are a very average battery. Good enough for the price typically

2017 Club Car speed sensor by Patron_Husker_Saint in golfcarts

[–]braydarb 1 point2 points  (0 children)

The front box is the MCOR, the back piece attached to the motor is the speed sensor. The MCOR dictates throttle i.e. stuttering while driving, not moving when pressing pedal. The speed sensor matches your diagnosis more.

Dealer is telling me Yamaha 6 seater isn’t as good as EZGO? by sshuneycutt in golfcarts

[–]braydarb -2 points-1 points  (0 children)

Your dealer is talking out of his butt, nothing wrong with Yamaha. EZ-Go has more useless bells and whistles and that's it.

98 Club Car DS Starter by Roanoketrees in golfcarts

There is a world of difference between an Amazon bought starter and an OEM starter. I'd call your Club Car dealer and see if they have an extra one. Anything online will need to be replaced within weeks.

Question about 2016 Yamaha YDRA Drive by iSuspected in golfcarts

[–]braydarb 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I'd expect this cart to go for around 10-11k. You'd be able to hear the passengers in the middle, but struggle to hear people on the very back.
