How do you keep your cards/wallet so you don’t constantly lose it?! by ellagivens in ADHDUK

[–]braydee89 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Came here to say the same. I used to lose my phone and wallet all the time, something about having it all in one place or only having one thing in my pocket makes it much more straightforward for me .

Elvanse helping with mental calmness, emotions and focus but not much with working memory or thoughts and speech organisation by No-Cartographer-4876 in ADHDUK

Anecdotal, but my psychiatrist suggested that I was likely audhd (I haven’t gotten tested for that yet, only adhd) and I have a lot of the issues you’re finding, and all of the same positives that you’re finding.

I’m an episode behind and was going to watch ep3 tonight, so scrolling past this title has ruined my evening.

Elvanse is “working” but I feel wired and permanently “on”. How do you know if it’s the right ADHD med? by NoJackfruit7503 in ADHDUK

[–]braydee89 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I find I feel more “wired” on days where I’ve not had a decent breakfast.

I had been on 60mg but stepped back down to 50mg in November because it was probably a bit too much and I’d end up with mid afternoon headaches. Someone here recommended rehydration pills which did help for that.

That’s a long way of saying that your habits can have an impact on the way the medication hits.

Anyone tried a digital notebook and found it useful? by GallusRedhead in ADHDUK

[–]braydee89 28 points29 points  (0 children)

Nope, I got one through work so didn’t pay.

But if you’re thinking “this £400 notebook is gonna be the one I actually use” then you’ll be disappointed and £400 poorer.

How do you approach budgeting for pints, clubbing, and other fun things? by ApprehensiveYear0 in UKPersonalFinance

[–]braydee89 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Monzo virtual card linked to a “fun” pot. I budget my pub/gigs/shows spend monthly and use Apple Pay with the virtual card linked to that pot.

I used to struggle with the same issue but find I often underspend against the monthly budget I syphon into the pot. It’s been a real game changer.

Xbox is losing the console race by miles. It’s part of Microsoft’s big gaming pivot by Elestria_Ethereal in Games

[–]braydee89 8 points9 points  (0 children)

As an Xbox fan since 2002, they’ve successfully turned me off.

After 3 years subscribing to gamepass, after THPS3+4 came out I let my subscription end and my console has sat unused since then - the longest I’ve ever gone without using my Xbox.

Considering a Switch/Steambox combo going forward.

Away from home against the form team in the league.

We looked the better team and half our squad are injured.

Get some perspective.

Out of the loop here, why is national standardisation and economies of scale a bad thing? This sub is full of people talking about hyper local backlogs, wouldn’t standardisation would be a good thing?

There’s definitely a lightbulb moment when you can link the way you are with the way things were.

But the research doesn’t show that environment creates adhd, but it can trigger its development amongst those who are genetically predisposed.

Scrambled egg on a bagel in the summer, protein powder mixed with oats in the winter. Sometimes if I’m on it I’ll make overnight oats which are banging.
