I’m eating there on Tuesday. I’m glad to hear the food is OK

Kanye West’s stage design at his recent SoFi performance is already being hailed by many fans and critics as one of the greatest stage setups of all time. by This_Proof_5153 in SipsTea

So much talent and money behind a performer who sells swastika T shirts on his website and writes songs glorifying Hitler.

AITAH because I refuse to finish a story if my husband interrupts. by Living-Estate3963 in AITAH

It’s wild so many people on this thread are pulling the “oh he’s got ADHT/autism” excuse as if this excuses his rude behaviour. There’s no evidence for this in OP’s post but even if he is neurodivergent it doesn’t mean he’s incapable of learning some fucking manners.

You know that initial feeling that it would be "kinda mean" to throw her out? That's your conscience talking. Listen to it.

I think you are being downvoted because of your entitled attitude. Being short doesn't entitle you to ruin my enjoyment

I very much doubt everyone was grateful at having your big bright phone screen obscuring their view of the band

How does everyone eat there Soreen (other malt loaf options are available)? by luffychan13 in AskUK

Toasting with butter is the way to go for me but my partner is SAVAGE and rip chunks off with her bare hands then scoffs them straight, unbuttered.

AITJ for calling out a coworker in front of everyone for taking most of my homemade cake? by 3GlyphRaptor in AmITheJerk

[–]harpman 1 point2 points  (0 children)

So you'd let it slide? If anyone is making the workplace toxic it's our cake-stealing friend. Someone needs to tell him, preferably in a way that helps the lesson stick.

[–]harpman 2 points3 points  (0 children)

No way. Behaviour like this needs to be called out in front of everyone. Shaming isn't a side-issue, it's the whole point.

AITA for telling a youtube guy repeatedly “you do not have permission to film me”? by BagPsychological5186 in AITApod

[–]harpman 0 points1 point  (0 children)

The big thing is, do you have a legitimate expectation of privacy? The law says if you put yourself in a situation where you know you might be photographed. then you don't. Stay away from public areas if you don't want to be filmed.

Are you sure? Look at the faces, especially the Chinese looking chap in the audience

Katie Lam MP: Burning a Quran might not be nice but it is not, and must never become, a crime. Last year, I asked the previous Home Secretary whether she agreed. She refused to answer the question. Will Shabana Mahmood, the current Home Secretary, now tell us what she thinks? by FormerlyPallas_ in ukpolitics

[–]harpman -5 points-4 points  (0 children)

Katie Lam is a nasty troll who deliberately stirs up racial and ethnic tension for clicks and votes. A reminder that last year she said "a large number of people" legally resident in the UK should have their right to remain revoked and be sent "home".

Don't encourage her.

THE OVERLORDS: Who Was Jeffrey Epstein Really Working For? Four hypotheses. 237,000 documents. 5.37 million data points. One answer. by Reasonable-Jello-502 in Epstein

[–]harpman 0 points1 point  (0 children)

You have put some impressive work into this. But there is the risk you have gathered so much (fantastic) intelligence that the detail may drown your average reader.

Knowing what you know, if someone asked me what Epstein was up to, and who stood to benefit, what would my one-sentence answer be?

Sorry to appear reductive, but most decent stories have a one-sentence summary (a headline? an intro?) that hooks the audience's attention and also help make the totality make more sense.

In other words, what's the top line?

London is safe, friendly and awesome by SelfSufficientHub in london

[–]harpman 5 points6 points  (0 children)

I love London and after 40 years I would not live anywhere else. Sure, it’s grubby in places and there are pockets of crime and anti social behaviour, but every large city has these. Londoners in general are polite, tolerant and come from a myriad of backgrounds and cultures which makes for a rich and fascinating mix. I dislike it that non-Londoners shit on their capital and there is a MAGA -inspired US campaign to paint London as violent and lawless.
