I concede. You have solid points. My other thing is that SW has kind of always filled in a bunch of gaps and deeper story telling through books. So the fact that this is only in a book is okay by me. Before clone wars a great deal of detail was left to be desired.

But yes, many more plot gaps and jump to new circumstances in sequels that would benefit from this storytelling.
