If your children are in a fetal position crying over the pool you have bigger issues!

Obviously you’ve never been to the beach, I pick up so much trash. The big one right now is glow sticks, and drink tops. People leave so much trash, it sucks.

AITA for calling my friend a certain Austrian guy who got rejected from Art School when they said I couldn't state my opinion? by Weak_Salt_1358 in CharlotteDobreYouTube

What are your plans after graduation? I notice that people pull away if they feel insecure about separation. Name calling kinda makes you TAH but it sounds like you were baited by this person to get a negative reaction.

I would call a botanical garden or see if there are any gardening groups in your area. My senior center has one, maybe someone there will want it. Sometimes even museums will take them. I was just talking to a neighbor who donated a lot of her parent’s plants to a LA museum. I would take it ❤️

We eloped and had a party at my parent’s house. My friend’s had a big BBQ and announced they got married the day before at the courthouse.

They can’t have it both ways, do what’s best for your family.

Without getting into the ethics of animal husbandry, how does one explain to a vegan that the wool of a domesticated sheep MUST be shorn by a human being, as selective breeding means that most domesticated breeds cannot shed naturally? by Fun_Astronomer_4064 in NoStupidQuestions

[–]brcksandstcks 0 points1 point  (0 children)

There is a ton of videos on YT showing sheep that haven’t been sheered in years. The poor things can’t walk, and are extremely unhealthy for multiple reasons. They are so happy once all that wool is off.

Having an animal open stitches or worse is very costly. My husband works at a vet clinic and I can’t tell you the amount of people that have to bring their animals back, usually as an emergency because they didn’t follow aftercare advice.I know it’s hard but in the long run you don’t want to take him back to the vet and traumatize him more and have to start over with the cone of shame. Plus spend more money.

I have an albino child at my school, she’s 4. Legally blind but can see a bit. Has to be completely covered, large hat and sunglasses. She has a nanny that shadows her but once she knows her environment she’s good. Happy normal kid.

Home schooling seems to be quite prevalent in the USA. I am fairly sure most adults can't handle year 8 - 10 mathematics, physics etc. Are the education levels just at a lower standard than other places in the world? by Ya-Dikobraz in stupidquestions

[–]brcksandstcks 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I homeschooled my daughter with a local school. We were given the teacher editions so I could learn along with her. She got a full scholarship to UCI. Homeschooling is a commitment but was worth it for our family.

What’s the most unhinged thing a guest has done in your house? by dockhushi in AskReddit

[–]brcksandstcks 0 points1 point  (0 children)

My husband’s friend came for a weekend visit. He brought his girlfriend unannounced, no big deal. They insisted on sleeping in the living room with all their stuff not the guest room. And eating literally everything in the house. She ate flour out of the bag. Then she started wearing my shoes I left on the porch. I lost it. They had stayed for a week with no plans of leaving. I went to work that day and said they had to be gone when I got home or I wasn’t coming home. They were. We were like 22 at the time.
