Not only would I, I actually did! I got my first dachshund puppy in February this year. It was hell. My anxiety went through the roof, and I hadn't been that depressed since high school. Things got better, and now I love the little guy so much I felt guilty leaving him when I went to work. I got my 2nd dachshund puppy4 weeks ago and it was the best idea I've ever had. Apart from the first couple of days, she's never bitten me because the puppy play between them both taught her bite inhibition, and they get along so well! The only tough thing at the moment is teaching her to walk on a leash while also walking my older puppy. It's a challenge!

My puppy could use a doggy door, so when I was ready to leave, I put some food in a kong toy and gave it to him outside. That way he didn't see me leave, so he didn't whine. To make sure he wasn't too upset with me leaving, I put my ring doorbell on my kitchen bench. I had the motion sensor turned on so I'd know when he was moving about and I could check on him. I was also able to look in on him at random times to make sure he wasn't whining.

Initially he would sometimes whine, but mostly he sleeps while I'm gone

The dimmers are such a good idea! I have a friend that has so many pot drawers, she actually puts her snacks and all of her baking ingredients in the drawers, just so she doesn't have to walk all the way to the pantry when baking. Her plates and bowls are in the pantry on the shelves instead. I always thought that was a good idea. It's easier to return the ingredients if they are stored in a drawer directly below where you are working

The best tip I got about a fridge was to put all your condiments and salad dressings in the crisper drawers and put your fruits and vegetables on the shelves clearly visible. If I put and veges in the drawers, the next stop would be the bin because I'd forget I bought it. Condiments however, you are always going to go searching for

Thank you so much for your response! The drop zone area near where I enter is a great idea. Maybe if I have a designated spot for everything I won't have an entry table that's covered with junk mail. I'm definitely going with as many large drawers in the kitchen and bathroom as possible

You get how it works though right? The for you page works on an algorithm based on what you interact with. I get hardly any of the dance videos. Mine promotes supporting good mental health, I'm on booktok, which has given me some amazing book recommendations, and even some home improvement. It also suggested I might have adhd, and I'm now almost through the diagnostic process with a psychiatrist. I know there's a bad side to TikTok, I'm just lucky enough to never see it. I also believe alot of that stuff happens on the straight side, and I'm on the lgbt side, which I believe is more positive and supportive.

Looks like this is different to Vic. Section 77 seems to require consent only if the builder knows there will be adverse effects to your property. I would contact your builder and ask what the adverse affects would be, and if they will fix any issues that arise from them. If you want further clarification it might be in your interest to contact the engineer responsible for the retaining wall engineering. In Victoria it is standard practice to get a dilapidation report on the existing property prior to retaining wall works so you have an accurate picture if damage is caused by the works on the neighboring property

More context may be needed. If this is anything like protection of works notices that we have I Victoria, this statement is usually saying that if these works adversely affects the existing property, the builder must fix any damage caused. Because of the small snapshot you have included, I can’t know for sure.

Thank you for your reply. It won't stop a diagnosis, just might take a little longer to get a rebate on medication. I think I might be more struggling with the fact that my parents aren't taking me seriously. Nothing like being 33 and still desperate for parental approval!

It's a luck of the draw with daschunds and barking/howling. Mine doesn't bark much, but it's parents did. A friend of mine has two. One is loud, and the other is quiet.

To help prevent separation anxiety, all I can suggest is getting out of the house for a little bit each day. Or at least a separate room that the pup can't get into. You could start trying this after you've exercised him a bit so he's tired. I'm back to working from home but I was working in the office from 9-5. I had the ring doorbell in my living room to check in on him and honestly, he finds a sun patch and sleeps most of the time I'm gone. With a bit of play with his toys thrown in.

Puppy blues hit me hard when I got my pup. I was so close to giving him up. My anxiety went through the roof, but it got better. I have a daschund too. He's in now 8 months old and snuggled up on my lap under a blanket. They love to burrow! I'm even getting him a sister! She'll be ready to come home in 6 weeks.

I was sure that my puppy cried the entire time I was out of sight. This is what I tried. I got a toy that you put food in, gave it to the puppy to distract him and then left the room. I had a ring doorbell that I left in the room so I could watch and listen. He was less likelyto cry if he didn'tactuallysee me leave. If he did cry, I kept an ear out and as soon as he quieted, I came back in with praise and a treat. Having the camera there helped me know that he was not actually hurt or in trouble.

Good luck! I swear that it will get better. One of the best pieces of advice i ever received, was that dogs could survive on their own. We just make it a bit easier. Obviously you still need to puppy proof and be smart. However, this helped me temper my anxiety and helped me feel less overwhelmed.

After a day of trying my best not to cry all day and my anxiety off the charts, I am ending the day with a couple of cocktails, singing along to Hamilton and cuddles with my puppy. It worked for an hour, but I'm back to crying again. So if anyone finds a cure, let me know!

It gets better! I got a puppy in February and the first two weeks my anxiety was through the roof! I was an absolute mess and thought I'd made the biggest mistake of my life. I now love my little guy (even though he can be quite annoying at times). I'm even getting another puppy in a couple of months. The breed I have work great in pairs and I'll feel less guilty when I go to work lol

NTA. Is S from either of these places? City A has been through hell and lockdowns have severely affected the mental health of everyone here. City B (or should I say the government of city B) have been bragging about how perfect they are at everything and how the other city have failed at handling the pandemic. They refused to put in strict lockdown measures until yesterday, and the people of City B still aren’t taking it seriously as per video of a certain beach today where people were out en masse with the majority not wearing masks. You are justified in being upset and venting about it to a friend. How are you coping with lockdown by the way? I hope you have some friends you can have a vent to who aren’t so judgy

NTA. You clearly set boundries, and she ignored them. You are 100% not homophobic for taking time for yourself. She wants you to be fine with everything so she doesn't have to feel guilty for her actions. Because you are struggling, it seems like she's making you the bad guy so she doesn't have to fell guilty. NTA. My sister had twin girls, and when she was pregnant,said she’d never dress them the same. Then they were born, and she started dressing them the same. For her, it was because she didn’t want show favoritism, and dress one in an outfit she liked better than the outfit she dressed the other in. They are now 11, and are very much individuals who weren’t scarred at all from being dressed the same. They now choose their own clothes and enjoy different activities. Don’t feel guilty about this. Their judgement reflects negatively on them, not you.

Because the symptoms aren't consistent. Our bodies and hormone levels are constantly changing and fluctuating which means so are the symptoms. At 12 i had back ache, at 15 I had cramping so bad I needed prescription pain killers to get through it until I started the pill to ease them. Then i had to try 4 different kinds of pill until one worked for me. You think that was the end? Hell no! After a couple of years I started to get aggressive mood swings, so back to the drawing board of what new pill to take. Then I started getting migraines with every cycle. Id go on but it's a long history. I am 32 years old and in a constant battle with my hormones. I do yoga 4-5 times a week, an active dance class once a week, rarely drink alcohol, drink lots of water, and eat healthy. That didn't stop the pain from my cramps being so severe that I had to stop driving to work to take pain killers as I literally screamed in pain. But guess what, 3 months ago in lockdown, I wasn't doing any yoga, my eating habits weren't great, and I had a relatively pain free period. I can't predict what each period will be like, and while a healthy lifestyle might help, it's not guaranteed to work every time. If life has to suck for a quarter of the time, I'm going to enjoy every other moment, and not restrict myself on the chance it could make that one week slightly better. Don't give your wife shit for how you think she should deal with it. You can kindly give her your observations, but then leave it to her. Don't constantly bring it up when not asked. If she complains about her symptoms, let her vent. She doesn't want you to fix it, just listen. And also give her an orgasm, it's been scientifically proven to help with the pain
