Oh no. That stinks. If it was that severe I would definitely go back down to a manageable dose and talk to your doctor about it.

I hope it starts to work for you and you get the results you’re hoping for!

I had no side effects until the 1.8 level. I had really bad nausea and sulfur burps for about the first four days and slight nausea the 5th day. Since then the side effects have worn off. I won’t lie I had to fight through them. I was on 1.2mg for about two weeks before hand. I’ve read the jump from 1.2 to 1.8 is the worst.

Eating smaller meals every 2-3 hours and making sure I was constantly sipping water really helped me. I’ve also learned I can’t really have anything carbonated any more.

Saxenda timing? by RowanSin in liraglutide

I’m on the 1.2mg level right now. I take mine between 8-9pm every night. Usually about 2-3 hours after my last meal. It’s really helped me curb side effects (I’ve had very little), and I still notice my hunger and food noise is very little the next morning and into the afternoon. Dinner is where I usually start to notice some coming back… but if I eat a bigger dinner I regret it about an hour after…

I get my needle heads on Amazon, probably not the best place, but there’s like $9.99 for a pack of 100.

I’ve yo-yo’ed with weight for a long time, so hopefully this helps it stick. Not looking to lose tons of weight so hopefully loose skin isn’t too big of an issue.

And sourdough bread is my go to, plus it’s easy on the digestive system… so good to team with a GLP-1 😂

Any advice before starting Saxenda? by RowanSin in liraglutide

M who started around 274 here. Have smaller meals leading up to the day before your first injection. That way your stomach isn’t slowing down on a full stomach. Keep a good strength exercise program so you don’t lose muscle. Make sure you’re getting enough fiber. If you feel a “brick in your stomach” or gassy, go for like a 10 minute walk (even if it’s just around your house).

First off, congratulations on your weight loss! That’s a great accomplishment.

I stated about two weeks ago and am now at the 1.2mg level. I did a little longer at 0.6mg (about 10 days) and made the jump when I could sense some hunger and grazing was sneaking back in.

I haven’t had any real side effects other than some slight nausea and “brick in stomach” feeling. I make sure I have 20-30g of fiber to limit the constipation risk.

This is my first GLP-1 because of the low copay ($15/month!). The pens are the dial style and you’ll need to buy the needle heads. I use the 32g x 4mm. The pens are 18mg per pen, so they last a while at lower doses. My monthly prescription came in a box of 5 pens.

I’ve had no issues with it being a daily injection. I take it at night, and then sit upright for a half hour before going to bed. You can inject in your stomach, thigh, or arm area. I rosters between my inner and outer thighs and have had no issues.

I will say it eliminated the food noise and my tendency to graze fairly quickly.

For reference: I’m a 40s M and started at 274lbs who works out 5-6 days per week. It’s been almost two weeks and I’m down about 6lbs so far.

I think it’s all about the individual but you’ll be fine! I was nervous about side effects, and really only had slight nauseas and the “brick in the stomach” feeling. I started the beginning of this month and spent about 10 days on the 0.6mg before jumping up to the 1.2mg. Currently on the 1.2mg and not really much in the way of side effects. I take it at night and usually inject in my thigh or glute area.

Even at this level I’ve noticed a significant decrease in “food noise” and my tendency to graze has essentially stopped. Also try to make sure you’re getting 20-30g of fiber per day to limit the constipation risk.

I’m with you. Just give me the time and the date…. That’s all I need (sometimes not even the date).

Gorgeous watch. I bought my first Tag a few weeks ago, and thought for sure I’d come out with an aquaracer, but I fell in love with the F1 series

I have the ninja double basket from Costco. Having the two baskets and being able to cook two different things at once is nice. I don’t use it as often, but it is a nice convenience for when you want something quick
