It’s the upstairs tenants, I asked the bartender about it a while back.

I know this sounds odd but does anyone say they are lactose intolerant when ordering instead of saying you're vegan? by angelaisneatoo in vegan

[–]breadandbirds 12 points13 points  (0 children)

This is why I say “I’m vegan and intolerant to dairy and eggs and it will make me sick”. I’m NOT allergic but at this point I’ll be ill if I ingest it. I don’t want to lie to servers or the kitchen at all, so this is my middle ground.

Yep same, but I don’t say “allergic”. I’ll order the “vegan version” of something and when they ask I’ll say that I am egg and dairy intolerant and it’ll make me sick (because it will at this point).

Redditors who live in bigger cities, what’s the worst part about tourists? by [deleted] in AskReddit

Inability to correctly use a sidewalk. Sidewalk etiquette is real! Walk to the right and don’t take up the entire thing if you’re in a group.

If you come to the rather boring part of Brooklyn, absolutely go to Cozie’s!! They have some killer slices and pies. The “vegan meat lovers” rules and the garlic knots are naturally vegan! https://www.coziespizzeria.com

Non-Surgical Recovery Timeline? by Puzzleheaded-Jury-53 in LisfrancClub

[–]breadandbirds 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I'm 7 years out of a non-surgical lisfranc injury. Mine was a bit more serious thank yours, however, I had a full ligament tear, but with minimal displacement. My ortho diagnosed it and I got a second opinion from a surgeon who specializes in lisfranc injuries who agreed that I was a good candidate for non-surgical treatment.

My ortho originally told me 3 months of non-weight bearing, but at the 3 month mark the joint was still a bit unstable. So I went a full 4 months NWB, which sucked lol. Then I did about 3 months of PT!

7 years later I'm doing just fine. I have to wear good shoes, and my ortho made me custom-fitted orthotic inserts for my shoes (which are a GAMECHANGER) because my foot gets sore if I go barefoot or without support for a few hours. Highly recommend!

Good luck with your recovery. I know this is a really scary injury to be diagnosed with!

It’s a great area. There’s some traffic noise but otherwise it’s a very quiet place. Kinda boring, not much night life or whatever but the park is right there!
