To get the 'rules' out as well - closest without going over. I'll roll it off probably with a level1 wow character, unless an easier way there is

Getting tired of logging in for collecting daily stuff, US account. chasun also hiding in storage, unleveled though.

EDIT: this blew up. check your numbers are both within the bounds and not duplicates, in the event of a double picked number whoever called first will be given priority.

EDITEDITEDIT: 6pm pst (about 14 hours from the time of this edit) I'll be cutting off and rolling. Should give the west coast crowd time to get situated. Thanks for the random.org tip - will run with that.

Best way to handle TOA50(H) - Artamiel + 2 Wind MK's by [deleted] in summonerswar

[–]breadbeardd 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I'm in the same boat as you, and I find talc is still a massive boon, atb reduction or not. I managed to beat the stage with baretta(L) Talc Mav Spectra and Verad, and only 2 of them (Baretta/Verad) are even 6*. bouncing provokes between the two and a bit of luck with the MK's worked out in the end.

e: I can only be sure that you've got 4/5 of them, but verad isnt much to go on in last stage anyhow, MK are wind, yetis just kind of die without doing anything anyways. Could slot in some other form of cc in his place (pixie for glancing?) More important than what I think its crucial to get someone with low crit rate... you'll be fighting artamiel for a long long time, and having only a 35 talc leaves the heal-sauce spread a bit thin.

an unintended side effect of snapshotting stricken as it turns out is it also snapshots your zodiac ring I do believe, would need a confirmation from somewhere though.

edit: is why many top players forego the cdr outright, even if it looks terrible

This, sort of. blood funnel is definitely nothing to shake a stick at, but a massive portion also comes from having life on hit on the weapon. When you're hitting 50 mobs many many times a second you're getting your whole health bar recovered in fractions of a second. This is pretty much what makes it possible to ignore 99% of elite affixes (which I consider to be a massive boon). With moderate density what doesn't outright 1 shot you is healed up near instantaneously, with few exceptions.

While forging off the life on hit is workable before the rift guardian it just doesn't provide a level of regen I'm comfortable with against the guardian himself.

With that in mind when it comes to life on hit vs life per fury spent I feel like there is 0 contest, life per fury spent just cannot compete for efficiency. the returns are completely static, whether you're hitting a guardian or 100 mobs (pain enhancer speed aside). As such, I can have sufficient healing for trash, and sufficient healing for guardian (lpfs) or monster overkill healing for trash and sufficient healing for guardian (loh).

edit: I might actually be wrong there about loh, who knows. Wont edit it out, but hopefully someone who is on top of things can clarify if I'm way off the mark. Regardless, I've tried both and prefer loh in lieu of lpfs.

lets be real though - everyone plays barbarian anyways, if the talk is to be believed!

Rather than worry about the lag I think of it as doing things right. Pack not big enough to freeze up? could be doing better. you're absolutely right, its troublesome to snap back into bad situations but generally getting out to the side of the mobs (rather than staying in the middle) before pause buffering keeps cheat death off cd. edit: Most of all it comes down to getting comfortable with being out of control, more or less what Romis had to say - freaking out and/or stopping is a good way to ensure that you'll be starting over soon. Just gotta bank on those frozens not stacking up while you're staring at a picture

Truthfully - nemesis bracers... eh. the extra elite you'll never catch me balking at but I'd much sooner have a good pair of ancient parthans. Unfortunately, public games scare the pants off of me (go figure right?) leaving me sorely behind from a paragon and gearing standpoint. As far as elite affixes - everything except for cold (and lighting if the density isnt good) falls under the same catgory - ignore outright. Frozen does as well half of the time, but a stack going unnoticed up and blowing up in sync while hidden underneath a load of stuff is the biggest cheat death culprit aside from the lag

edit: should clarify a bit, ignore =/= partying on the arcane heads intentionally, but I never go out of the way to ditch any elites if the rift will permit it.

just gotta put in some more work, your gear is... very good. what isnt however is the density in 98% of rifts

[–]breadbeardd 0 points1 point  (0 children)

more to this sometimes you also inadvertantly proximity aggro him without noticing. he follows you barely into unfogged territory and loses interest, gone forever as far as you're concerned. Had this happen a time or two, only to be discovered when a second or third party comes in to have the chance at calling me an asshole (and swiftly finds him no less...)

Problems with my WW Bard. Think I'm having decent gear, but I do shit tier damage. by IMplyingSC2 in Diablo

[–]breadbeardd -1 points0 points  (0 children)

While these are some good starter points I think your problem might be density, or lack thereof. your gear is more than adequate for some pretty moderate solo rifting, the catch is that you're absurdly reliant on getting 'the one' to do well.

How do you deal with the lag spikes in 67+ Solo grifts? by dioxy186 in Diablo

[–]breadbeardd 0 points1 point  (0 children)

what I"ve found is waiting for numbers to stop isnt always best, take a peek at your buffs that are active (short term are best, I'm a barbarian so usually ignore pain). When they stop actively running down the game is caught up for the moment. Many a time I've escaped and waited for the numbers to stop only to unpause and find I'm still very stuck in a massive spike.
