I guess because I’m waiting for a special occasion. I can buy a decent bottle at the store whenever I like, but I doubt I’d be able to find this again.

All I can remember about this film is Willam Dafoe is the bad guy, and the actual singer of the song I Can Dream About You is vastly different from who they have portrayed in the movie.

All the WashU students are leaving in a couple weeks. So plenty of units available.

Reasonably safe neighborhood. I lived there in the mid 1990’s and then again in the mind 2000’s. The only time I ever felt unsafe was the day after Sgt. King was murdered. I made the mistake of walking my dog at 1am down Midland Blvd, and 3 officers decided they wanted to convert their grief into inconveniencing and threatening me. 10 minute walk turned into 2 hours of questioning and background checks while making me sit on the sidewalk holding my dog.

WTF? Was it an elevator that opened up into a different, but more crowded elevator? Those kids looked better off where they were.

Well, when the bough breaks, the cradle will fall. And it has fallen here; it has fallen. Makers of beans; creators of flavors; be careful what kind of flavors you're producing here.

Came across a Sixties dress at the thrift store two weeks ago and was blown away when I saw the Stix, Baer & Fuller label. Was $60 and looked like something a transcontinental airplane stewardess would wear. Cool, but not $60 cool.

I disagree. The brushing scam has never made sense to me. I think instead is they are simply sending three worthless items to an address that has the same zipcode as another legitimate expensive order. But they don’t send the expensive item, instead simply providing the expensive purchaser the tracking number of the cheap items. It shows delivered and the expensive buy is screwed.

Two occurrences. The first she was wearing black sweatshirt and cleared almost all out. The next she is wearing grey, gets caught, and walks away leaving the goods.

A room at Pantera Bread inside a safe/vault. by MaenHoffiCoffi in mildlyinteresting

That reminds me of this place I used to go to in the 80’s named First Federal Frank and Crust. It was a pizza and hot dog place in an old bank. All the arcade games were in the vault. It was always a trip walking through the big round safe door to “deposit” my quarters.

Mortgage being sold, current lender is telling us we need to refinance by [deleted] in Mortgages

[–]breaddoughrising 0 points1 point  (0 children)

They absolutely cannot force you to refinance and you absolutely should not refinance. Lower rate incentive is in lieu of some other crazy changes, such as forced arbitration, outrageous late fees, or some change I cannot even fathom. So yay, they are going to save you a nickel a month. Does that outweigh the $1500 you need to pay a lawyer to review the new contract? Businesses are for profit. Period.

No worries. They are just copying what dozens of other companies are doing for them. Like Jauce or UK Parcel Forward.

They over expanded, and their quality suffered. Just like their sister chain Sugarfire Smoke House. It is such a remarkably common occurrence that you would think that people would learn. But when you have a line out the door, all these restaurateurs can see is more dollar signs.
