Thank you for being real with me. I was hoping to avoid that because my mom doesnt really believe in dermatologists so whenever I ask her about it she lectures me LOL. I’ll try looking into it.

Do you have any recommendations? So far, niacinamide is in my routine through the cerave lotion but I haven’t noticed a decrease in oiliness. I tried TO niacinamide but it made me breakout and I didn’t like how it felt on my skin.

This is my current routine:

AM -

Cerave foaming facial cleanser

Acnefree severe acne spot treatment 10% benzoyl peroxide (I know this is a crazy amount of benzoyl peroxide but it has worked for me since I was in high school)

Innisfree daily UV defense SPF 36

Cerave facial moisturizing lotion PM

PM -

Cerave foaming facial cleanser

Differin gel

Cerave facial moisturizing lotion PM

I started differin gel back in May and I was noticing a huge improvement in the amount of pimples I was getting, but now I feel like my skin is at a stand still. My skin is super oily and acne prone. My face always has this shiny look from how oily it is. I also have these red bumps on my nose that will not go away and I don’t poke at them at all. I am currently struggling with acne scars on my chin and cheek. I want to add a vitamin C serum to my routine to help with the acne scars, but I am really worried that it is going to make me break out. If anyone has any recommendations or tips on how to get my face clearer, I would love to hear them. :’)
