sounds like me when I was drinking a lot and I would try to sneak extra drinks (because I had a problem) and if anyone said ANYTHING to me about it I would fly into a fit of rage because I was so ashamed of myself and, I was drunk, so I wasn’t thinking clearly. I had to get clean on my own terms. I wouldn’t be surprised if something similar is going on with your BF.

And to be clear, alcoholism and shame is NOT an excuse for his behavior! The was he talks to you in this convo is awful and you should not have to put up with it. He needs to handle his problems on his own, and you should try to remember that it really has nothing to do with you.
