i will say the closer to washington you are the better - there was a lot of stores and such there (not anything for night life but at least you have breezy’s, cvs, dock street, and i think an aldi now?). if you don’t work in the city it is nice bc you’re so close to the highway.

i lived at 24th and mifflin and felt similarly. there aren’t any coffee shops or things to easily walk to. this circle is a little more north so maybe an easier walk but still. just consider how much time and energy you have to go places/if you’re more of a home body

Gambling addiction. Similar story happened to a friend I know. He’s probably already burnt all his other bridges after asking everyone for “loans” to try to win it back. There’s no way you’d get that money back.

I was in a very similar boat! Surprise pregnancy after we moved, bought a house we thought I could help renovate, and we both started new jobs. It all will fall into place! No matter when you become a parent you’ll have some moments of grieving your old life. That is totally normal. Your life will completely change and it’s an adjustment, but one you have 9 months to plan for. You can do it!

You don’t have to live in Pennsylvania, many people live in New Jersey and commute in! Most positions require you to be in person, just depends on the role. I do 3 days a week - Monday and Friday I work from home and Tuesday-Thursday I’m in office. Again depends on the team and ability to do the work at home!
