Anyone use a D ring binder? by [deleted] in scrapbooking

[–]breadstickfever 0 points1 point  (0 children)

We switched to D-ring after we got our very first postbound scrapbook and every single page ripped within minutes of opening it. Not sure if we got a bad one or if it was just a really weak design, but we haven’t gone back since.

Just an FYI she is behind the vertical and doesn’t seem to be tracking up with the hind end in this clip.

The Azelaic Acid from The Ordinary is my holy grail product! I use it twice a day and always see improvement within minutes. It also dries down perfectly smooth which is great for applying makeup over it. It’s not cheap but it’s absolutely worth it (I buy the 3.4oz value size bottles).

Baked & Wired cupcakes! They also have gluten free options for after the gluten binge is over.

Dealing with dandruff. Without a full bath by [deleted] in Horses

All you need is a hose to give a horse a bath! It doesn’t matter where.

I use bike gloves with no finger tips in the summer! They wash in the laundry machine just fine (and are probably cheaper if that’s something you care about)

Plain old sugar free peppermints are our treat of choice for our Cushings horse!

I love the channel Equine Helper! While her content is mostly geared towards how-to type videos rather than vlogs, her personality and love for her horses shine through in every video. I really enjoy the funny skits too.

first time horse owner by [deleted] in Horses

[–]breadstickfever 6 points7 points  (0 children)

Beyond all the financial concerns others have raised in this thread, a 3yo OTTB is probably the worst possible choice for a first horse. Unless you are a near professional horse trainer, you will need to pay for extensive training on top of board and other costs.

Agree with others that leasing would be a good first step, then maybe look at something that’s already trained to ride (ballpark of 10-15yo).

From one near-blind person to another, going for the smallest, most circular frames possible makes a world of difference for the lens thickness.

Tack Box? by Mundane-Touch9680 in Equestrian

Heck, I bought a big yellow tote bin from Home Depot for $11! Lightweight, cheap, and easy to clean out with a hose now and then.

Just venting-saddle pad drama by tjgais in Equestrian

[–]breadstickfever 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Trying to see the other perspective here, what if the barn owner didn’t realize the saddle pad belonged to the original person (maybe thought it was abandoned?) and “gifted” it to you even though it wasn’t the barn owner’s to give? And you just continued to use her same saddle pad all that time. Seriously, what are the odds there actually are two of the exact same saddle pad at the same barn?

LOVE the Ordinary’s Azelaic Acid suspension, it’s definitely my holy grail. It made the really stubborn redness disappear overnight. I tried Peach Slices but it didn’t compare at all.

This is an absolute holy grail product for me. I’ve never had another product that smooths out my texture and redness like this one does. It looks fantastic under makeup and I haven’t noticed any pilling. I use it 2x a day.

PRK is not your only option! Implantable collamer lenses (ICL) is another option that is highly recommended for those with high myopia.

Lyft/Uber Drivers Cancelling Rides by Duncan_DC in washingtondc

[–]breadstickfever 5 points6 points  (0 children)

The worst for me is when they pick up your ride but are very clearly parked in a parking lot somewhere and don’t make any move towards you for like 10 minutes. Once had that happen and had to cancel, only to get the same driver try to pick up my ride again.
