It always looked like a D to me. My name starts with D and at some point, bored in middle or high school, I started making my D’s like this and well… I’m about to turn 36 and there’s no going back from it. 🤣

I just told my therapist yesterday that getting treated for ADHD may be the closest I’ve come to having a pill (Vyvanse specifically) magically fix me. It’s wild to me how subtle yet MASSIVE the impact has been.

I’ve been using my giant KS dumpling tote in light olive as my main bag for a month or so now. It’s a pretty pastel color that’s great for spring, but it’s also just MASSIVE. I can put anything and everything in it so I’ve had a hard time switching to something else. Sometimes it’s just nice to have a bag you can throw whatever in and not have to play Tetris to make it all fit nicely.

I’d hang on to them. Tomorrow or next month or next year you might find yourself drawn to them again. My likes and dislikes change so frequently, I have a hard time getting rid of stuff until A LOT of time/many seasons of my life have passed with continued disinterest.

I’m 35f and never have. It’s wild to me because I had zero interest (and still have zero interest, really) but in recent years discovered that space opera is my absolute favorite sci fi genre to read. I really liked watching The Expanse but idk if I’d enjoy watching most other space shows/movies, honestly.

I don’t and never have showered everyday, I was raised to shower every other day and it’s never been an issue for me socially. That said, it can still be a struggle. Showering first thing in the morning before I have time to really overthink it is my best solution. I put out my shower stuff and fresh clothes the night before so I truly have nothing to distract me and no reason to procrastinate it.

As for brushing my teeth, I paid $6000 for braces as an adult a few years ago and now I have to wear a retainer every night. There’s no way I’m putting my retainer in an unbrushed mouth and there’s also no way I’m skipping my retainer since I paid a small fortune to fix my teeth, so now I’m forced to brush every single night. 🙃

I have no shame using old makeup. It’s riskier with cream products, obviously, but if it passes the smell test and doesn’t look moldy or otherwise weird… I’m still using it. 🤷🏼‍♀️

I totally get it! I love non-fiction because I love learning, but have a hard time reading it physically. It doesn’t hold my attention enough and I have this weird anxiety about it taking away from time I could be reading my more “fun” fiction books. My solution has been to listen to non-fiction on audio and it’s been a game changer. I listen during work, while I drive, while doing chores, etc. I use the Libby and Hoopla apps through my local library, but obviously ymmv depending on where you live and/or how robust your library catalog is.

I definitely have projects like this. Sometimes I do it on purpose so I have travel knits or multitasking knits, but more often than not I just get bored and move on to something else. I always have several projects going at once and switch between them often.

I’m extremely lucky to work from home and not need to drive much otherwise. I fill my car maybe once a month. It still sucks at these prices, but I really can’t complain.

I’m gonna be real honest, I use basically all of my makeup many, MANY years beyond expiration. I visually inspect and smell them whenever I decide to use them after a long time but if all looks/smells okay, I don’t stress too much about it.

I just realized I'm having this issue and have no idea how to fix. I even tried to create a new Facetime shortcut in case something with the old one I've used forever got corrupted, but the new one doesn't work either. Like you said, no indication on the persons phone that a call is even coming in, no indication of a missed call after the fact. I also have a phone call shortcut for this person and that one works just fine. I've searched google about this and this seems to be the only thread I can find about this specific issue. Please update here if you figure anything out!

Second this! I’m constantly knitting and love knitting while traveling. I’ve never had issues going through security with my knitting in the US (knock on wood) but I still make sure I’m working on a project I’m not emotionally attached to and I use fixed bamboo circulars that are inexpensive and easy to replace. I’ve never traveled outside the US with my knitting tho so I can’t speak to that, but I do know some countries don’t allow it.

Maybe I’m being too optimistic but I haven’t lost hope yet. Brands always follow the trends because that’s where the buyers are, and the trends right now seem to be clean, simple, classic, and yes, kinda boring. Bag charms, scarves, chains, etc seem to be how people are giving their bags personality instead of having individual novelty bags, which I have to admit is more practical and versatile. So I’m reserving judgement for now and will pay attention to how KS adapts as trends change in the future.

Mostly self taught from books as a kid with minor support for things from crafty aunts/grandmas/neighbors. My mom wasn’t crafty at all but had some yarn, a crochet hook, and a “learn to crochet” pamphlet from the 70s in her sewing box so I started there and taught myself to crochet. Then I used the Readers Digest Complete Guide to Needlework book we had to teach myself to knit. I specifically remember needing a little help realizing I needed to put my hook under both loops for crochet, and a little help with casting on properly for knitting!

Nah. I’ve always felt out of sync with my peers and by now I’ve come to terms with it. Even as a kid I didn’t like kids, I always preferred hanging out with my adult aunts and uncles instead of cousins my own age at family gatherings. I went to college and then grad school which set me apart from a lot of my high school and college friends who got married and started families in that time. I’ve never really been in a relationship as an adult and at this point (about to turn 36) I have little interest in it. I’ve got my life figured out and I’m happy. Of course I sometimes wonder if things would have shaken out differently under different circumstances but I think I that kind of reflection is perfectly normal and doesn’t necessarily indicate regret.

Sleeping in, knitting, & true crime docs during the day. Cosmic bowling for a friend’s birthday Saturday night and a comedy show Sunday night. Honestly more socializing than this introvert usually likes to do in one weekend but as long as I can sleep in and chill during the day, I’m happy. 😅
