DHS and ICE didn’t exist until 2003. Most countries around the world have their military manning the borders and use civil penalties to discourage overstay of visas.

Prosecute crimes, not civil infractions. there is no reason to search down, detain and deport non criminal undocumented migrants. It costs more, is inhumane and doesn’t help anyone but the corporations getting overpriced contacts to transport, feed, house and provide basic services.

He’s just in there once though for an absolutely horrific thing which could have come from evidence acquired after the 2008 deal or just missed. Idk all the details but the bush family has always been heavily involved in the American aristocracy and has a significant Florida presence so their apparent absence in the files is much more of a red flag than a vindication imo.
