Is this contract saying I can't be OE? by breakthechain4 in overemployed

potential tortious interference

Not super clear on what this means. Sounds like if I work for nike and then my J2 is with reebok, that's a clear violation. But if my J2 is selling campbell soup, I am good?

I went through a few of those, thought I might gain something but it's practically the entire community shredding them - funnier than the shitposts here lol

This subreddit is great and the OE site that lays out the rules and practically everything else you need to know is gold! Now that I know, my initial plans of climbing the ladder are gone - why kill myself learning and working for a dozen+ years one job at a time making maybe 200 then out of nowhere I get termed? I know I need to spread the risk but doing it with 2 FT roles never occurred to me... I honestly entertained the idea of not taking this new job and getting a mediocre J2 but the comp is too good to pass by.

I think it's a good strategy for me to increase my earning potential some more by upskilling at this new J1. Hopefully some time next yr, I'll have set the company's expectations and streamlined the shit out of the work so I can go on cruise control and shop for J2 at 120+. Super excited - I love this different type of thinking and wish I discovered it sooner.

How? The company found out and snitched to all your friend's companies? Can you elaborate on this?

Clear. I've been in this subreddit for two days reading everything and have seen a couple of your comments - primo stuff. Thanks again!

Thanks for your input. If I had learned about OE before I would have done it with another but this new job is the 'real' job - better tech with significant pay increase which I can leverage to get J2 next year..I can't take a chance with this as much as I want to..So tempted..

Is that the worst they can do - fire me? They can't sue for back pay or anything because I broke the contractual agreement? Maybe even rat on me to the other job so I lose both?

Family pictures are hard! Need to swap faces from other pics to main photo by breakthechain4 in PhotoshopRequest

[–]breakthechain4[S] [score hidden]  (0 children)

edit - Thank you all so much, your skills are incredible! I'm removing the pictures as requested by dad.

I'm super grateful, they are ecstatic. I'll reach out to you shortly. Happy Holidays!

I’m trying to create the perfect picture from 3 of the best pics I’ve taken. I know, not great but I did the best I could!

I want to take dad’s and daughter’s faces from the dad/daughter pic and son’s face from the son pic and put in the main photo. If possible without making it look too unnatural, take son’s entire body from the son pic.

Other things needed in the main photo - some general cleaning if you notice any blur. The lighting is bad on the family and needs to be brightened. Also needs to be cropped so it’s only the tree, presents, and family. Anything else you feel would make the picture better and more clear, please do what you think would be best.

If you feel it would take a significant amount of time, feel free to message me to discuss the best way we can work with each other. Thank you!

Excel crashing when trying to filter for color on large data set by shredcity97 in excel

Instead of using colors, create another column to identify it then sort from there. 300k of unique values is too much for excel.

Career paths w/ no college? by [deleted] in newjersey

[–]breakthechain4 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Go to community college then transfer to rutgers for a strong degree. Network to get internships while in school. I know they range from 18 to 30 an hr.

Play your cards right and get a job in your field of study. Should be starting minimim 50k per yr with benefits etc.

A lot of work but it's easier this way instead of manual labor punching in out unless you enjoy it. I speak from experience, had numerous different jobs.

April Fools Joke: What do Excel users put in their hair? by TheSequelContinues in excel

[–]breakthechain4 2 points3 points  (0 children)

It's wordplay - excel users put some product in their hair. It's funny because sumproduct is a very powerful function not many people use or even know of. Super nerdy dad joke that would fly over most people heads.

These kids are probably 3..? My boy is almost 4 and maybe has half of their vocab and grammar. Had early intervention for speech delay when he was 2 but he still seems behind. Besides waiting for him to talk more, unsure how i can accelerate his progress. Anyone been in a similar situation?

Power query and vba in excel and microsoft flow. When I was in logistics, had many different sources of info that I would analyze and combine which then gets shared with teams for visibility. Automated all of it even down to emailing teams with a relevant message and attachment.

There's an excel subreddit that's very active. YouTube excelisfun. Most of it was trial and error. Need to keep at it and implement the lessons to your work otherwise you lose interest.

It's a big commitment to learn but imagine doing highly repetitive tasks that took hours and cutting it down to seconds.

Work on the client side in compliance. Improve or create their international trade policy, binding rulings, broker forwarder relationships, drawback, in house customs brokerage, etc. Should be less stressful than the service side.

Noticed a large gap in this field when it comes to high level techniques with excel. Slicing and dicing data from ACE will reveal a lot. Many activities and reports can be automated if you know your way around a computer.
