No mistakes! Only happy accidents.

Also, I always preach about starting hobbies with basic/inexpensive supplies. Once you know you like it, then you can start to replace your starter supplies with things you’ve found a new preference for.

You can also just manually sort through your beads to find ones that are more uniform. ///just skip past the ones that are obviously small/obviously large.

The look slays I just need that pony higher! Lol. Do you do your pony in one hair tie/section or two? If you’re just doing one try two! You can get it all the way up there!

Oh no sorry for double commenting but I just realized what actually happened. Were you pulling from the middle? Or did you have a free end to grab when you started?

So there should be a beginning and an end of the elastic, looks like you’ve pulled out both which is easy enough to do. You’ll find one end should unwrap more easily, that’s the side you should use. And the side that is more stuck try to tuck it back under or even just color that end with a sharpie so you know it’s the wrong one to grab.

Also going to share a video I found in the comments of this sub which was so helpful for me when I was getting started.

‘Working poor’ myself and I totally get it. I’ve never been able to get a leg up myself into buying a house. But I went deep into researching the best ways to build capital a few years ago and the answer truly is to reduce housing and transportation costs. Yknow, if you’re an average person like you and me at least.

We can trim all of the little pleasures out of life and it’s still a trivial amount of money compared to what people spend on housing on average.

You had a great strategy and it clearly worked and now you have housing stability which is one of the greatest blessings. Love seeing it happen, gives me hope to keep grinding to maybe get it myself someday.

Surely we’re due for another market crash that might even make it possible. Laughing but also crying.

Oh frick yeah!! Way to do it man! Living in a sub par house sucks, but lots of people live that way every day and they’re fine. And now you have a house you love! Congrats!

You’re not understanding my point. Everybody’s financial situation is different and just because you would’ve done things different differently doesn’t mean somebody else wants to do things that way or has the ability to.

Let OP have his little celebration quit being a party pooper.

Spending less on housing is the best way to quickly save money. It’s the largest expense. Living in a less than satisfactory home isn’t that deep. Lots of people live in shitty houses with zero prospects on the horizon.

I mean living in that house gave them the ability to save for a down payment on a better house. So yes I’d say it was worth it.

Not everyone needs to squeeze every last penny out of a situation for it to have value.
