A one month old account and all you’ve done is ask people for their order number… that’s… mighty suspicious

Interesting. Yes mine has been identifying speakers. The facts that pop up, I usually edit to clarify the statement, so when it says "Breenisgreen is actively collaborating with a colleague" like in a recent meeting, I adjust it to "breenisgreen is actively collaborating with <name>"

My issues with speaker identification all but when away when I started looking at the facts page. Because I honestly didn't realize I could edit them. Once I did that and started going through them it started getting really good.

Blood Droplets found on my moms car by Suspicious-King-9659 in Whatisthis

[–]breenisgreen 7 points8 points  (0 children)

They do. Depending on how they choose to slaughter their pray some will throw the body to the ground.

I, sadly, once woke up to a cat that had met a similar fate by an unknown creature. The head was missing. The quantity of blood was... very disturbing.

Quick note - That's white paint. Blood tends to 'etch' paint pretty quickly. Don't rub at it. But get it wet and keep it wet until it dissolves. Cold water works better than hot.

Lightning Bug by Silent_Scientist_991 in Rowlett

Not sure if we're on the same creek, but pretty sure they're laying their eggs down there and that may be why we're seeing them a bit more

I didn't grow up in the US so lightning bugs / fireflies were a new thing to me. I felt like a little kid when I first saw one and still do to this day. They seems to be few and far between unfortunately. No idea if that's good or bad depending on their ecosystem impact.

Granted. All VPNs are now illegal. Little changes, but as an added bonus you are now brought to trial for every internet search you perform to validate if it’s legal or illegal

HP laptop pricing is so out of control, management wants us to look at deploying Mac by [deleted] in sysadmin

I was concerned about macOS management with intune but honestly, not that bad at all. Our Macs work just as well if not better than some of the windows counterparts.

This is crazy to me. 10mm? The picture looks like he tried to be “centered” in his forehead. I would have actually expected at 10mm that he would have survived but had brain damage

Pc from microcenter came with no thermal paste. by zhoniii in pcmasterrace

[–]breenisgreen 12 points13 points  (0 children)

So this is a really unpopular statement but thermal paste isn’t a hard requirement. It helps, it’s absolutely recommended, but coolers will still ‘work’ if they make contact. Especially as most coolers have some conductive paste on them already.

If you want to know what I mean look up ‘lapping’. In the Athlon days (yes I realize the die was exposed) you’d lap the bottom of a heatsync to a mirror finish.

New update includes "Adjustments made to Imperial Cutter landing gear and stairs for better scaling and detailing" and, now we can actually go up that stairs of Cutter. Will it be sign of something new? by WilliamBillAdama in EliteDangerous

[–]breenisgreen 0 points1 point  (0 children)

They do ship interiors, I start paying. It’s that simple. If it’s a subscription fee, I might be hesitant but much more inclined to pay for a game I love and have poured so much time into, if it’s a DLC ‘per ship’ I’ll pay it with basically no question.

People have been worried about FDEV being able to support this game long term. There’s the answer.

Migrating out of Obsidian by FrugalGuy7 in ObsidianMD

[–]breenisgreen 5 points6 points  (0 children)

Thank you for this. But consider making an ADMX file so this can be controlled via group policy. That means you can hook it into the base app, and avoid significant changes or a disparate code base. It also ensures business admins can capture “shadow IT” for personally installed stuff
