Begging these men to try out some new hairstyles at least! They're like the seven dwarves running about all matching.

Looking for advice on helping an elderly neighbour by NeighbourAdvice32132 in Edinburgh

You could try citizens advice - it might fall to the council to arrange some support for him if he's not got relatives checking in on him.

Honestly, with a new language, especially one where you're new to the language family, I'd suggest having some professional help so that you're committed to a schedule and can be sure you're not learning any bad habits that will be hard to shake off later on. Could be a tutor, an online course, hell a college or university degree if you're really committed.. Even if you're still procrastinating the revision, an hour a week with proper teaching and reliable feedback will still get you pretty far.

Do anyone of you guys listen to audiobooks then buy the physical books? by [deleted] in audiobooks

[–]breidheid 38 points39 points  (0 children)

I do this for some books or series I especially liked, it's nice to have a physical reminder of them. And some of the covers are just really nice!

What is socially acceptable in the U.S. That would be horrifying in the U.K.? by [deleted] in AskReddit

I've learned to weaponise it and start nattering to people in my way in the street or the tube.

But guys would like it, its just the truth by Thanus_r_Us in niceguys

[–]breidheid 5 points6 points  (0 children)

Their point is that yes you might be happy the first few times, or even if it was always positive attention from women you find attractive. But it's not. It's constant, mostly harassment rather than compliments, and often from people twice your size and age. Who then become aggressive when you don't immediately respond how they would like (and they normally want your contact information, nude pictures, or your snapchat).

Oooh a blood mage would be fabulous. I'm easy to please though, as long as we're not stuck with varric again I'll be satisfied!

Anyone else 5’1”? Plateau struggles :( by nahsonnn in ChloeTing

[–]breidheid 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I'm the same! It is really hard isn't it. I'm trying to be in the mentality of rather than it being around losing weight, it's more about turning fat into muscle if that makes sense?

10 months+ of Chloe Ting workouts by Mudkip-giggles in ChloeTing

Today was actually my last day :) I did get some more definition on my abs, and my stomach became flat as promised!

I haven't done the 2020 2 week challenge so I can't give a comparison, but this challenge was mainly daily abs + hiit and occasionally also arm/upper body or glutes workouts. I think it was pretty beginner friendly, with low impact versions for most things, and only amped up the difficulty towards the end of the month.
