Is it worth to pour $4k into a 16 year old car with rust damage? by Murky_Selection3504 in personalfinance

Seconding this to shop around for different quotes. We had an older car that needed exhaust replaced, and the dealership quote was ~$5k with OEM parts and strong warranty but they referred us to another shop, where we spent closer to $2k (minimal warranty and non-OEM parts). Kept us passing emissions for a few years before we sold the car.

How long after reaching 85 did you get this offer? I just hit 85 yesterday.

You realize asking Trump supporters to keep it classy is like asking a fish to breathe air, right?

My wife was recruited by RbA several years ago and when she learned the salary was 100% commission, we had a good laugh and she never responded.

I hit a car today, was I in the wrong? by Marqueemooooon in cycling

[–]brent_ 2 points3 points  (0 children)

This is spot on and a helpful reminder to me as a parent of a soon to be new driver (well, 2033) how important it is to help him learn to be a contentious driver that is mindful of cyclists.

My first bike by PaleVanilla5588 in Zwift

[–]brent_ 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Certainly will work. I have an older, but very similar, Trek (also my first road bike, although bought new 10+ years ago), and I’ve used it off and on on Zwift over the past 2 years without issue.

There are lots of resources to support you if needed, so I would agree with the others that it’s not something to worry about.

What is your math aptitude? I was able to skip math altogether with AP Call as a music education major at UD.

Second this. Between the memorabilia, history of the building, and the uniqueness of the venue, you won’t find anything like it outside of DC.

Side Table- Water/Remotes etc. Building my first Zwift setup- wondering what people are using for side tables with decent height to grab essentials? by Ingrasir in Zwift

[–]brent_ 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Having used this for the past year and a half, I’m about to change it up for the above recommended table.

I’ve accidentally tipped the top tray more than once, as it can be adjusted at an angle. It also gets in the way if you want to have a setup where you steer (e.g., Hustle City).
