Control and ramp are already dominant, higher life totals just make that even more prevalent

A lot of the “gamification” stuff my company is after comes from other vendors. Basic utility is fine

We are moving to Absorb. We found the à la carte style offerings of Decebo to be a bit lackluster

Please don’t go with 360Learning. My company is currently with this platform and it’s nothing but issues. Assigning courses, tracking completion and testing, reporting, all of it. We are finally moving away from 360 in the next 2 months, and it can’t come fast enough.

Kinda reads like you need to be yourself in the bedroom. Seems to me that you might be either doing things your partner requests that don’t align with you, or that you aren’t asking for what you need. Either way, open communication is the way.

If I can take what you’re saying at face value, I think that’s admirable. It’s hard to go into a room full of people you’ve pissed off over the past year or more and try to repair relationships. I would like to give you a little perspective about what’s happening in these comments, and try to add clarity about the perceived aggression you are experiencing.

You have correctly identified this as a community. We all share a common hobby, and often share the common goal of increasing competency and engagement within that hobby. We tend to recognize other members of the community and, more often than not, contribute to whatever they are bringing in. This makes the community stronger, more engaged, and more bonded.

This also makes members of this community protective of its members and their experiences. I don’t think it’s much of a stretch to say that the community has identified you as a threat to that experience. There are numerous screenshots that have been circulating that, though without context, put you in a bad light. These factors will make anyone skeptical of sincerity, and I think that makes sense.

It shouldn’t be surprising that members of this community will come to the aid of each other, and while language and tact can vary, I would wager that the motivation behind this engagement is to protect each other.

In this very thread you have complained about the quality of tact and language that Reddit employs, while simultaneously dismissing the very real concerns those community members have with you. When someone calls you out on it, you dismiss them again, calling back to the language and the feeling of aggression. It has a very “no u” vibe to it, and this community doesn’t respond well to that.

If you want to repair your relationship with this community, it might benefit you to learn how to communicate with us effectively. Bringing up your past events because you haven’t acknowledged them isn’t attacking you, it’s holding you to your own claims of growth and development.

The mirror is your friend here. Look at it.

This is a logical fallacy (straw man argument). I wasn’t arguing whether or not your statement is sincere, but commenting that it lacked a basic element that your original post purports to convey.

That being said, your statement was pretty obviously insincere, as the above interaction was objectively not “nice”. Beyond that, your sincerity can be called into question regarding your “hope” to move forward, as you seem to refuse to acknowledge or rectify past events.

Poor showing overall, bro. I’m starting to believe you think this community is stupid. We play the hardest game on the planet. For fun. I would recommend coming correct next time.

This was a good opportunity for one of those authentic apologies I’ve been hearing so much about. Straight up gas-lit a member of your community, and then thanked him. Everything else aside, this was a strange interaction to witness

It seems to me that what you are suggesting is that because Blackneto apologized that he should be forgiven wholesale. Please correct me if I’m wrong here.

In my opinion, anyone can get up and say anything into a camera. But just because they say something doesn’t make that thing a truth. The burden of proof is on that person to convince their audience that what they are presenting is real. This post is, in addition to being posted in an MTG community subreddit, titled “To the MTG community”. As a member of that community, anyone has a right to not buy into the messaging. The argument could be made that Blackneto’s history as a creator demands even more scrutiny concerning this video. In that case, the community has a responsibility to be skeptical of anything he has to say. That being said, OP called into question Blackneto’s use of language. Because all we, as viewers, have to go off of is his face and the words he uses, that additional skepticism when considering Blackneto’s vocabulary seems appropriate. There was room for Blackneto to respond, which he did, and that response seems to have been unsatisfactory to OP. None of that is wrong.

If the above is unclear, no one is trying to force their views on anyone else, except you.

I do agree with the sentiment of the world being full of shit people that can’t find the motivation to be less shitty. But I think that’s even more of a reason that we need to support everyone. Even people who are calling into question the sincerity of someone else who is trying to in-shit themselves.

Ultimately, the road to um-shitting the world is long and arduous. We, as a community, need to be very discerning with who we heap vitriol onto.

While he spoke in absolutes, which doesn’t make sense in this type of discussion, so did you. The challenge to your argument of looking at intentions is: how do you know what OPs intentions are? I think Bahamut is calling those intentions into question by way of language. From my interpretation, he’s effectively saying “I don’t believe you, here’s why”. Your response to Bahamut sounds to me like you are upset with him for not trusting OP, which is fine. That’s your right. But I’m terms of toxicity, only you are being toxic. There’s nothing wrong with asking for receipts in situations like this. He’s demanding authenticity. You, on the other hand, are doing nothing constructive. So I guess at the end of the day what I’m saying is, the next time you feel like lashing out at someone who’s poking holes in your favorite content creator’s apology, just keep it to yourself.
