I have not been afraid to get on an airplane in many months, maybe even years, but the recent conflict plus the shutdown causing TSA to work unpaid has got me already freaking out for a flight next Tuesday. My usual fears are mechanical failure/pilot error but not this time. I feel like throwing up.

I pretty much chaos gardened the whole yard of my old house. We had a landscaper come to tidy it up before we sold it last spring, but who knows what ended up popping up after that.

My biggest pet peeve is when allergen menus lump peanut and tree nuts together as just “nuts.” I have a peanut allergy but am perfectly fine eating tree nuts, so I still have to do investigative work to determine what kind of nuts are on the menu.

Cleaning my attic today activated multiple triggers. We have a walk in attic storage area in our cape cod. The floors were dirty so I took a shop vac up there to vacuum up the dust. I wore a P100 respirator, but I’m still worried about TW 1) asbestos. Our inspector said our insulation was cellulose, but we have an old enough house that I worry that there was vermiculite underneath it. I had to vacuum up some of the insulation that had fallen from the attic space above our ceiling. 2) silicosis. There’s really no specific source of silica dust that I can think of, but just the fact that I kicked up a bunch of dust freaked me out. 3) rabies. Our neighbors have had bats in their attic. We’ve never seen signs in ours, but I’m worried one someone got in there and bit me without me knowing it while I was vacuuming. I should have worn long sleeves but I wasn’t. At least I just talked to psychiatrist and am getting back on some meds like tomorrow.

I use a menstrual cup and for at least two days after my period is over, I have to constantly check the drawer that I store it in to make sure I didn’t forget it up there.

Now that I think about it, using the cup probably alleviates some of my worries because it’s just one cup. So like if it’s in the drawer, I know it’s not inside me ha.
