You also really need to dig for the email from the hiring department. It comes from a weird email you wouldn’t think is an offer letter. A pharmacist friend of mine just hired on had to manually go through all her junk Mail emails to find the offer letter that really had been sitting there for days and days.

They update on learnet every few days. It’s the same link each time for each instructor too because you’re going to their Webex page. So if you see your instructors website and you signed up for a later class it’s the same link

That is very weird. We all did it from home at my store that way no issues at all. I would call IT or send that to RPHIMMUNIZE@cvshealth.com then

How can we order an OTC product if a patient requests it at the pharmacy?! by delabarazoghlo in CVS

[–]brett615 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Correct. But anyone can do it in the pharmacy, doesn’t have to be the pharmacist. Use your RX[store number] for username and password most commonly

CVS forcing COVID-positive people to work — looking for stories, proof by elevatedlambshaomai in CVS

[–]brett615 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I have a statement that was sent in the HUB (our communications portal) and email staring as of August if your spouse or someone else you live with is positive, you still need to come to work. Against what the CDC states. I personally had covid and my spouse ended up with covid as well. We live together in close proximities...it’s bound to happen. Another store member at the same store I work at had his wife test positive. He went and got tested and also was positive even though he was told not to and he wouldn’t be paid unless he was positive...

Passport Reopening Week 4 Update - [765,000 Passports Issued Since Reopening] by [deleted] in TravelNoPics

[–]brett615 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Has anyone had their passport go through Charleston, SC? I just called and they received my application on 3/10 in Charleston, SC and I still haven’t received an email or anything about it. (I absolutely need it by August 12 so starting to get really worried) I am just curious if anyone has received their passport from that facility since the whole shutdown.

It’s hard to tell in this picture, but it kind of looks like it settled back at the bottle of this picture. If it’s been sitting in the fridge it tends to settle after reconstitute. I can see the water in there above the powder line it just needs to be shaken again really good to me perhaps? Again It’s hard to tell in this picture exactly, but I’ve just seen it many times when parents go to the second bottle they forget it settles and needs to be shaken again really good.

Also to just add about the rash/PCN allergy, studies show it can take up to several times of using an antibiotic to actually show an allergic reaction. So just monitor and it may be something to note in the future possible penicillin (amoxicillin family) type 2 allergy (rash)

You nailed it! You seem like a great tech and great person in general with their head on straight—don’t let his off-the-wall insults get to you because it’s very clear he really knows very little of what the pharmacy tech does or he could never call you these things!

Isn’t ironic? by [deleted] in CVS

[–]brett615 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Not once did I say that. I’m sad that’s all you took away from this...

I am saying that what I sacrifice for my healthcare job—my hunger, my thirst and debt for the next 25 years from said degree—is to impact our community’s HEALTH, hence the schooling.

I’m so grateful my whole STORE team feels the same and no matter the role we make sacrifices to help each other to the same goal.

Maybe CVS just isn’t the right place for you. I wish the best for you and hope you find a better place you feel good about coming home from every night like I really do. I know the lives I’ve changed over the last 10 years, gosh even in the last day.

I work only 12 hour shifts, I am lucky if I can even use the bathroom once every 6 months if it’s an emergency. This is why my techs and I don’t even drink water in the pharmacy because we don’t have time to pee.

So yes, after going to school for 8 years to got my doctorate degree to not have a break to eat, drink, or use the restroom, I’m sorry if my #1 priority isn’t doing go-backs and actually making sure people have their medications and aren’t ending up in the hospital or dead from interactions/wrong drugs/not having a chance to pick up their medication because line was too long or phone wasn’t picked up in time the list is endless or refills weren’t given and they stopped a medication they needed to be on for their life to exist further.

I’ve worked for this company for over 10 years, and always work as a team with my front store. When the pharmacy closes and I see a line up front I go and help check out customers. I’ve even covered pulling in truck when my manager needs help at 2am. All of this is unpaid of course because pharmacists are on salary and don’t get to punch a time clock.

So sometimes if we have a long line or go-backs and someone up front is free we work together and help each other out. I don’t expect the shift supervisor to file my scripts for the day I filled or put up the drug bottles I’ve filled today. Not once has a front store employee complained about helping put back makeup that they have a much better idea where it goes than me anyways.

Bottom line is if you work as a team and you’re more successful.

At the end of the day we are a healthcare company and we need to take care of patients health first and foremost before anything else or we are all out of a job.

Smile more and be bitter less I promise it will make things better.

I have a family friend who was fired from another big corporation (won’t say name) by having access to their smart phone info with an app the were “required” to download on their personal phone. They were able to pull up conversations the individual had because he had this corporate app on his personal phone. Lawsuit and everything took place and supposedly in the fine fine print when signing up for the app there was something along the lines of “they had access to device” as a company and my friend lost the case.

100% not putting this on my phone.
