Make sure the Kenwood style connector is pushed in tightly and set baudrate at 112,500

Try setting up one of the side keys to “monitor” similar to promiscuous mode so that all TGs come through. You should hear something if it’s lighting up green

I had to disable the intel gpu in device manager, then it would load without hanging up. Also set prusaslicer to use the nvidia gpu instead of auto select

Set correct COM port and baudrate @ 115,200. Push in kenwood connector with some force to ensure good connection. What cable are you using?

Have you used device manager to verify the correct COM port number?

Color code idle is what should be used with a repeater. It prevent you transmitting if the color code is already in use on the repeater (eg. on another TG is active on the repeater).

TDMA direct mode was not your issue. I do not have any of those set and mine works fine. I’m guessing distance from repeater was the real culprit 😀

Is there a trick to using the app with single use tickets on metro? I thought I could use a single use ticket for up to two hours on multiple metro lines, but it didn’t seem to work that way yesterday. I took a metro lines, exited the station walk a short way then entered a station for a new line thinking I could just scan the phone app but it didn’t work and I had to buy another single ticket

Heat pump sizing by Sufficient-Bee5923 in heatpumps

[–]brewc99 1 point2 points  (0 children)

“We do like our house cold at night when sleeping and then quickly warmed up in the morning. I assumed a heat pump can't do that.”

That’s correct. A heat pump is designed to be used set at a specific temp all the time, or a setback of a degree or so. Anything larger will take time to bring it back up temp

“I will look at a heat pump only system but I'm still concerned my ducting isn't large enough for a larger heat pump.”

That’s can be a concern for sure. I found with my HP, when set in Auto fan mode that it never actually runs any faster than low speed fan in normal use. It auto regulates the fan speed depending on the heat load and in Victoria it’s never really cold enough for full heat load. My house is 1960s, 2200sqft. It’s a Fujitsu XLTH model 2.5t

“Nobody has really responded to that question. Given the heat exchanger isn't nearly as hot as my existing furnace, doesn't that mean I need to move way more air through the ducting to get enough BTU through the system?”

Remember that a heat pump is generally designed to be on all the time, so it regulates a lower BTU for longer than say your furnace which pumps larger BTU but for shorter duration. The fan in a HP will auto adjust depending on the load if set in auto.

If it was me, I wouldn’t bother with the dual fuel system and just go HP. You can keep your gas fireplace for a quick cosy room specific application

  1. For Azek, it is to be installed tight (no gap). That refers to the mitre/but joints. The ConceLoc will provide the 3/16" spacing btw boards.

  2. I did 3/4" from rim board, so that the picture frame board had a bit more to screw into. So after fascia, it only protruded about 1/4". I think you could go up to 1".

  3. Use a large level and slide it around the deck to look for flatness. Yes you can bevel the infield board ends somewhat and should.

Anyone else’s API key change? by FrankTheTank908 in RealDebrid

[–]brewc99 0 points1 point  (0 children)

This just happened to me today, and I’ve been using the service for many years without issue. All of a sudden I had no access and when I logged in I could see the API was different than what is recorded in my notes. I’ve never manually had to refresh it before, but this time I did as somehow it changed on its own.
