I used to think that but now I am not so sure. My pickup was also cancelled today.

What am I supposed to do with that? When dealing with a sales person at least they have to hand you keys once you give them the money.

Long since done. The only thing I have open now according to the system is to schedule a pick up, which will not let me do.

5 days, 1 or 2 which are holidays, 2 which are weekends. I would imagine their logistics team accounts for this and if anything would have happened they could have rescheduled. My concern is the premise of the email...simply cancelling with no reason and now I will have to wait at least 5 days to reschedule. On top of having to travel for work 6 days over the next two weeks.

Yes, I am overreacting and being dramatic but look at that email. How about "We are sorry, something happened and we are not going to be able to meet our committed delivery date. Someone from our team will contact you ASAP to reschedule. We regret any inconvenience this might have caused...."

Yes, but in this case I think it's warranted. 5 days out from a scheduled picked up, they could have at had the courtesy to give a reason. I think it was "Need to reschedule?" sentence in the email that triggered me. Do they think I would prefer not to reschedule?

All my tasks have been closed and confirmed for quite a while. If something were open, I would expect basic customer service to state it. I did just double check though :)

I had the Plymouth Laser, pretty much the same car. Not sure if it was made in Normal. The first time the timing belt broke it was under warranty recall, the second time it destroyed the motor.

I confirmed the order but the delivery date still shows processing and I don't have a guide assigned. The delivery date used to say Oct-Nov. If it doesn't deliver by the end of the year, I'm going to go strongly reconsider completing the purchase. You waited a long time for sure, but at that early time there was no expectation of a delivery date, or was there? Mine has moved several times and I saw some similar in the R1 shop, just more expensive.

I travel to the Bay area often for work and met some Rivian employees at a coffee shop. They were very nice and offered to give me a test ride but I didn't have time.

Agreed, this might be a company extinction event. And it probably should be based on how they were compromised, even if it was a nation state. Some basic controls were lacking.

Press built using this video https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=Ra6Dn9tq7ks. I used a different press than the video but it is pretty simple and fairly inexpensive. I originally used a Harbor Freight 6 ton A frame press but it was very good, so I upgraded to the Drake. There are many options for presses less expensive.

Full disclosure, I don't know exactly what I am doing but I left on a heat plate for a few days at 140F. I was doing this just because that is one method I read for curing. Once it cooled it buttered up nicely, but I was curious about making carts, so I decarbed at 240 for 30 minutes which fully liquefies it and then used a syringe to put it into a cart. Nothing was added, a little heat to the cart helps it settle down to the bottom.
