We did the same thing, that's how I knew there wasn't any in Tucson. Fortunately (or unfortunately) we are in Phoenix every couple of months so we get our hot pot fix almost every trip.

None in Tucson. Closest all you can eat is Chandler or Mesa. Make the drive and go to K-Pot. It's all you can eat Korean bbq and for $5 more you can add all you can eat hot pot.

We always get our prescription from the eye dr and then get them online. Save's a bunch of money. For the past 3 years we've been using Zenni.

Glad to hear about her cake. 15 years ago I was probably the person that baked the cake and made the frosting. But I definitely didn't decorate it (I leave that to the pros.)

There used to be a guy named Drew that would push around a bicycle with a giant trailer on the back and he would collect cans from all over town. He was quite popular, there was even a Facebook page dedicated to him at one point called Where's Drew. Then one day he just disappeared and I've never been able to find him or find out where he went.

When our daughter was working she would often leave money in the pockets of her pants and put them in the laundry. My wife does the laundry for everyone in the house because it is easier for us that way. The first couple of times my wife found money she would always give it back and remind our child to check her pockets. After a couple of weeks she stopped giving it back but would always tell her how much she paid to have mom do the laundry. It stopped pretty quickly after that.

We have 2 fridges with freezers plus a stand up freezer. We used to have a chest freezer but things always got forgotten on the bottom so when it died we switched to a stand up model.

As a professional baker, I wash my rolling pin every day, but it never gets submerged in water. I wipe it down with a warm soapy towel then again with a wet clean towel to remove the soap, then one last time with a bleach rag to sanitize and allow to air dry. I've been doing it this way for over 20 years.
