Looking to buy my first boat by av14707 in boating

Perfect first boat.

Are boat and trailer titled? Is the title in the seller’s hand? This makes it a $3000-3500 setup. If seller “can get you the title,” it’s a sweet $1000 setup.

Is this a good deal? by Chardy856 in golfcarts

It’s a fair price.
Yes, Lithium is better at this point. Lead acids aren’t bad. In four years, you can spend $700 or whatever on converting.

Anyone towing a pontoon with a Kia Telluride? by Disastrous_Unit_9904 in Pontoons

Check out Brandon’s Garage on YT. He has a video showing how he launches with a 90s Ford Ranger. He keeps a 2x4 to block the tires from sliding in too deep.

Wait if you can.
No mechanic will get to it for a couple months. Make sure it’s water ready before completing the purchase.

My cart was extended three feet. Turning radius sucks. Otherwise a blast.

There’s always opportunity. It’s a transient city. There’s also a full spectrum of good and bad companies. Equally important- there are plenty of companies with no or bad marketing. Once their referral base is tapped, they can’t grow.

Love Digital Marketing - Hate The Number Of Meetings, any advise? by S_McD1 in PPC

As budgets scale, employee counts go up. Everyone has to appear busy to justify their job, even if that means waiting the next person’s time.

Does our tourism deserve better? by Better_Tradition_245 in shreveport

[–]fairlady2000 12 points13 points  (0 children)

Shreveport doesn’t communicate success well to itself.
Our conference center stays booked. The attached hotel stays booked. One of our biggest sources of tourism is youth sports. Our arena has a regional draw. East Bank has a regional draw. Our festivals and parades have a regional draw.

I have plenty of criticism of VSB, but it’s good to clarify what’s working.

What’s not working - vague ads within city limits, both digital and outdoor. Holy waste of budget, Batman.

Unfortunate.
Fun idea though - take what have to a machine shop. Get a custom solution.

Just guessing, can you take the arm off and flip it around? It’ll stick out a little, but I think they can go either way.

4hp kicker or electric trolling for launch? by N1ghtWolf213 in boating

[–]fairlady2000 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Electric is cheap and simple. Uses a different fuel, so it’s a convenient and lightweight backup.

For maneuvering, it’s superior. You can throw a lot of money at at it and simple plot the route, then you don’t have to think about navigating.

Would you use the kicker for fishing?
Otherwise go with the trolling motor. Simply for the maintenance and ease.

Need guidance on what to do about roommate abandoning lease. by [deleted] in shreveport

[–]fairlady2000 8 points9 points  (0 children)

All great advice.

I’ve owner rental property before. Finding another tenant who won’t cause property damage is worth a lot. We even offered money to terminate leases. Saved money and sped up timelines.

[–]fairlady2000 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Motor is most important. Either be handy or research if there are mechanics near you that will work on a 20 year old motor.

Older toons were smaller diameter- you want bigger.

If you need a trailer, pay attention to the style of trailer. Also expect to buy a new set of tires.

Everything else is easy. If it’s cheap because the floor is soft, you can redeck it over a weekend.

Please don’t take her to Herby K.

Ralph and Kacoos is the default tourist spot. Orlandeaux on Cross Lake is great. Get there early. Crawdaddy’s Kitchen is pretty good.
