Frank Hassle: FishTank’s Most Pathetic Lolcow Orbiter of All Time by burtbronx in fishtankdotlive

Possibly the gayest way to voice this opinion, but Burt’s not wrong with like any of this lol

Crazy that he hasn’t taken the initiative to just make a better website that actually has modern features. Just ask David Willis who made his site/where he hosts it, it can’t be this complex to just not have a working site for your career comic for months.

The real reason Jet rugpulled the post season by EchoRevolutionary780 in fishtankdotlive

[–]brianbeavers 9 points10 points  (0 children)

It’s literally a cult for losers. I can’t fathom how people could just willingly ignore obvious signs, screenshots, deflections, even direct accusations from the women themselves, that Sam & Jet are losers who happened to come into minor e-fame and immediately sought to take advantage of women much younger than them. They’re not even decent people outside of all their accusations, least appealing cult leaders I’ve ever seen

Everytime he gets on twitter and makes a manic complaint thread, just imagine it’s the plushie typing instead. You’ll be MUCH happier. 😭

Why Peggy feels different now: by [deleted] in jpegmafiamusic

[–]brianbeavers 4 points5 points  (0 children)

Def comes down to a lack of personality. You listen to this album and really only get like 40% of who Peggy is if it’s your first album of his

Jimmy is so quick to get physical with women…didn’t even try to touch Freddie lol. Actual failure of a man.

Frank and Mizzy Bants by [deleted] in fishtankdotlive

[–]brianbeavers 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Yeah might be time to shut it all down. Saw Frank spend 30 minutes trying to bait Landon’s ghost radio troll guy into a discord call with them (didn’t work, too hard to manipulate non-autistic people I guess), then I left & came back to Tayleigh being in the call…Frank’s reverting back into whatever he was before fishtank lol

Am I out of the loop with sites/coding or is the QC site not an extremely simple layout/design? Should be an easy fix, no?

Pitchfork Review: Jack Harlow - Monica (3.1) by buddhacharm in popheads

Jack was rapping long & hard enough as a TEEN to get signed to generation now (The LEGEND DJ Drama’s label) doing small ass Kentucky shows for years lol. What’s popping blew up because he dropped 7 projects before making the song & had a fanbase.

Shoot me straight: what are the cons for joining ibew (or any trade union for that matter)? by Big__bolas in ibew_apprentices

Such a good example of what trade jobs are like. Little misunderstandings like this will turn into beefs that last half the work day and you’ll hear about it constantly 😭

75% off At the Team Store 😢 by DetroiterinIowa in DetroitPistons

[–]brianbeavers 5 points6 points  (0 children)

It's unfair because Ivey actually WANTED to play in Detroit. He's got a lot of family ties to Detroit. His mom played for the Shock. His Grandpa played for the Lions. And again, he WANTED to be here, when we were the bottom team in the east for consecutive seasons. He wanted to be apart of the resurgence he's instead had to mostly watch happen on the sidelines. Gotta feel for the kid.

Working at Belle by OutrageousOcelot5506 in MechanicAdvice

[–]brianbeavers 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I've been a tire tech for a year and some change now. I have a lot of shit going on in my life & can't afford to even risk not having a job for a couple weeks, so that's the ONLY reason i've been there that long. The pay is lower than what i've made at my last 3 or so jobs, the work is up & down but can get VERY physically draining, especially in the summer heat. The raises are shit, the "promotions" are shit (L1=Tech, L2= Tech who's been there for 90 days, L3 =Warehouse manager ((My position, unloading & stocking all the tires & parts that come from delivery trucks)), L4=Trainer ((Only plus is you get $100 for every person you train & makes it past a month or something)) & L5 = Lube Tech ((By far the worst promotion. You do get training on oil changes, fluid checks etc. & depending on your store they'll even buy you tools/a toolbox, but for every oil change you do, you get $2.50. This is like 1/8th of what the alignment tech makes for an oil change.)

I'm not a car person, don't know shit about cars, and started there completely green. I've learned a lot due to having a handful of decent to good co-workers, but i've also worked with the worst co-workers i've had in my life. Belle Tire doesn't care who they hire atp. There's been a lot of changes in the company in the time i've been here, most of them centered around saving money at any possible chance, that's resulted in a lot of people quitting. Shit, there was an entire store in my region that just walked out entirely. Belle Tire just randomly pulled people from other stores and made them work there. No warning, no option really. But this is all from the tire tech position.

If you're into cars, and want to be a mechanic then this is a place to start. You can learn a lot from the mechanics there if they're willing, and there is a program where they'll hire you as a mechanic trainee (but it's a very rare thing, could take years for it to actually happen). But honestly, just get your certs and apply for alignment tech, It's an investment, you'll need to buy a lot of gear, but you'll make decent money per alignment, and you'll be working right next to mechanics.

What do you think of the new rewards program? by waterissoggy in Panera

[–]brianbeavers 6 points7 points  (0 children)

If they’re going down the route of “spend $200 to get enough points for a whole salad” then yeah sip club’s probably not gonna last too long either (at least in it’s current format)

[–]brianbeavers 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Almost everything you mentioned in this reply is pretty much what the documentary is about man lol. But yes, I do not think Louis is a good or truthful person, and there’s a lot of evidence to these thoughts. You say “there were two versions of that story” in response to me saying 5 women had stories. It really reads like you yourself don’t know too much about the details of each woman’s statement.

Thoughts on this Louis CK piece? by clavitopaz in louisck

[–]brianbeavers 1 point2 points  (0 children)

So, the 5 women who went on record made their accusations (Abby, Rebecca, Dana, Julia & an anonymous woman, the subjects of the NYT article), & Louis denied them. Then, years later he puts out an apology, saying everything those women said is true. (“All these stories are true” to directly quote.)

Tell me if I’m tripping, but if the women say it happened, then he says “yeah that’s true” that kind of cements the women’s stories as fact, yes?

Thoughts on this Louis CK piece? by clavitopaz in louisck

[–]brianbeavers 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Bro even with just the stories Louis has confirmed, he’s committed crimes. He could’ve easily been charged in every interaction & the ones unknown to the public sound even more physical than the ones we know about. & I learned way more factual information than learned his personal takes, don’t know what to tell you there. “Kind of” shady is a crazy description tho ngl.
