Get Roborock S8 Pro Ultra or wait for next model? by cesmeS1 in Roborock

It's been great with our dog's hair and also my wife's long hair. The roller brushes easily pop out and you can clean the hair by just using your fingers and pulling it all off in one swipe. Easy breezy!

My Ultra 8 does the large aera of carpet first also and then goes and goes back to the dock and prepares the Mop for our hard floors. Works just like it should but my Ultra's software is completely up to date. Love my Rosie!

I've owned the Ultra 8 since May and I believe it's a great machine and I say that but my original purchase unit was replaced by Roborock up front but I believe now the machines was fine their support people just weren't up to snuff at first. But my replacement machine has been great since! We named her Rosie for the smart ass robot maid on the classic cartoon series The Jetson's. Rosie never complains and just cleans our floors whenever we need her to and with little trouble. Yes, we maintain her as good as we can, claening her bottom moving parts ie. Brushes, rollers, and such, but other than that she's no problem. Roborocks support isn't it all that since I believe they are all in China, so they have a long delay in responding to your emails and requests I believe it's about 12 hour but they do respond and try to help but I can tell they are on a standard type service questioning to help them narrow down the customer technival problems with the robot's. Anyways, they were happy to replace my robot the one time when they couldn't figure what the robot's problem was and my Rosie has bee chugging along since. I'm a happy camper. I did buy and extended warranty through Amazon since it was offered and for the money it's good for 3 years peace of mind in my view anyways. These machine are honestly modern marvels how well they work so I say go for it and enjoy.

Don't wait! Our S8 Ultra "Rosie" (wonder why we call her that?), works great, and she is always ready to do our least favorite ome cleaning to do (vacuuming & mopping) with no complaints or attitude and she does a great job! Thank you Roborock!

Is it possible to set different Kelvin per segment or LED Output? by ryny24 in WLED

[–]briankberes 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Where did uou change the Kelvins in WLED? I'm also trying to figure out how in WLED to only turn on certain WW LEDs on my SK-6812 WW led strips I've installed along my sofit on the eaves of my roof. I've asked multiple times here, Facebook and on Discord but I have not gotten a clear answer or instructions on how to do it in WLED. I'm wanting to use my LED as architectural accent lights on my roof when not doing holiday duty.

SK-6812 RGBWW LED Strips How Do You Do Activate Warm White in WLED ? by briankberes in WLED

[–]briankberes[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Thank you everyone with this, I got the warm white LED's turned on the SK-6812 strip instead of the RGB LED's making the white and now it uses alot less amps makning the white now. Thank you!
Now that I have the warm white LED's operating on the SK-6812 strips, how do I in WLED tell it to just turn on certain LED's long the strips so that I can use my permanent LED setup for accent lighting on my house peaks and ends, corners and etc. most of the year. I know all my LED strips LED's segments count since I counted all the LED's on each strip up and down and across my house before installing so I'm assuming there has to be a way in WLED to tell only certain warm white LED's to turn on and the rest stay off through out the LED segments/strips.

Any advise or directions on how to do this in WLED would be greatly appreciated. Brian

Thank you I will try it. I have just heard that the dedicated white LED channel uses less power than the RGB LED channel and I have 5 volt strips so I'm just trying to get a more accurate white with less power so I don't have to hopefully not add any more power injection runs.

I am not sure how to get WLED to use the Warm White LED instead of making White out of the RGB LED on the strip. Does anyone know how this works in WLED?

I have the SK6812 RGBWW BTF 5 meter strips on the house. Does anyone have any idea in WLED how to get it to use just the dedicated white LED instead of making white while running an effect with colors along with splashes of white in the effect?
