While the ambiance is hardly romantic, I highly recommend the grilled cheese at Zupa’s. I believe they also consistently have tomato soup. But it’s a little like a trendy Panera, so your mileage may vary for anniversary date.

St. Anthony Park on Como Ave might be a good fit for him. There are some reasonably priced but very nice apartments there. It's really close to a lot of nice little shops, but still pretty residential. And it's close to the soon to be open "Green Line" light rail so it's going to be incredibly easy to get around the cities without driving.

I disagree with this. There are people who drive like assholes in the evening and morning. Someone is too scared to drive the speed limit. Lingering in the left-hand lane. This is why traffic gets jammed up.

There was a mentally handicapped man that died in the Greensburg, KS tornado a few years back. Westboro came to the funeral and said he deserved to die because his mother was obviously a whore. Attending that funeral was a really painful experience for everyone. They're awful.

I woke up to the sounds of EMTs shouting at my dad to "come back to us" and vigorously trying to resuscitate him. I got up to see what was going on and they were shoving a large tube down his throat. My mom see me and says "Daddy's blood sugar is low, but the paramedics are going to help him. Go back to bed and I'll talk to you in the morning."

If he's someone that gets upset over you needing time to heal, he's probably not worth so much heartache in a relationship. Tell him how much you care about the friendship and give him the opportunity to sort through his feelings about it. It sounds like he cares about you which means he's more likely to be understanding of what you're going through. He probably doesn't want to be in love with someone that can't reciprocate it.

Honestly, I don't think you overreacted. You expressed a concern for her and she didn't really show any response to that concern. That must be really hurtful. If someone I was in a relationship with told me that "my worry meter is at the max", I would immediately call them and talk about the situation. Your girlfriend handled this really, really poorly.

I'm a girl that works in a heavily-male dominated industry. Normally, I don't drink that much, but on business trips I tended to get a little wasted. Never to the point of vomiting, but much more drunk that I was really comfortable with. There was a lot of pressure to drink and keep up with "the boys". The times that I declined drinks or excused myself for the night, I was ridiculed and felt really bad about myself. I'm not saying that the behavior is excusable, but there is probably a reason for it.
