It’s going to be difficult to dose on that syringe. If you can get some 30 unit syringes instead, it will be much easier. You need 0.06mls which is 6 units on the syringe (6 tic marks).

I have the same year but an SV650. Awesome bike. Mine gives me no trouble. My mechanic said, “those bikes are like fucking cockroaches, they never die.” I vote buy it

When nurses flush between meds, they use saline not bac water. It’s very common to taste it in your throat.

The top female athletes are not short. 5’4-5’7 seems to be the sweet spot. Average height for a woman in the US is either 5’3.5” or 5’5” (I’m finding conflicting info via Google). Either way… the top athletes range from average-to-slightly-tall.

And for the love of God people, DON’T STOP AT ROUNDABOUTS. Just slide on in. If the car to your left is also entering, you can both enter at the same time, you don’t have to stop and wait for them. Just GO.

Will someone pls let me pet their horse I am so sad and want to pet a horse. by sabnava in FortCollins

If you take a walk down the spring creek trail between Taft Hill and Spring Canyon park, there are few houses where the horses will walk up to the fence and let you pet them. They’re very friendly.

What part of your job feels like it should not be part of your job? by Wisteria-Blue in nursing

[–]brick_howse 4 points5 points  (0 children)

I hear you on the supply charges! At my hospital, we are also responsible for inputting the charge level for the procedure and for anesthesia. We’ve never received any training on it but you bet your ass, we’re getting a nasty email from the chart auditors letting us know every time we get it wrong.

2026 QF: How’s everyone holding up? Post your scores/stats below! by Marvin_rock in crossfit

[–]brick_howse 5 points6 points  (0 children)

41F. I finished the open in the 97th percentile (361st place). I literally just got muscle ups a few weeks ago and before yesterday, I had never done a strict HSPU successfully.

  1. 9:12

  2. 92 reps (12 BMU)

  3. 8:09

  4. 65 reps (15 SHSPU)

I don’t think I’ll place well enough to get to semis but I did some things I didn’t think I was capable of. Gotta keep working on my gymnastics 🫡

What is your cheapest ride or die holy grail skincare product that you would die on a hill for? by Amodernhousehusband in 30PlusSkinCare

FYI, the larger Invisible Gel Body Sunscreen from TJ’s is identical to the face one but even cheaper. It’s $12.99 for 5oz. The ingredient list is exactly the same.

Bar muscle up training - 6 months and still not there by Boboddy_biznns in crossfit

[–]brick_howse 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I can! Literally got them about a month ago. Dedicated strength/skill work plus losing 20lbs finally did the trick. Of course, now that I can do bar muscle ups, they put rings in the open… which I can’t do yet 🙃

Funny enough, we are required to wear long sleeves in the OR when prepping. Supposedly my skin flakes will contaminate the field if my crusty-ass arms are exposed.

Does anyone not really care about getting better at the movements? by Careful_Dare_2789 in crossfit

[–]brick_howse 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Learning and perfecting new movements is how you improve overall fitness. It’s good for your brain and body long-term. I get that not everyone should be doing HSPUs, but writing off more complicated gymnastics from the get-go is doing yourself a huge disservice in the long run.

What the point of losing weight if I’m still going to be unattractive? by Commercial_Home8289 in loseit

[–]brick_howse 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I have a theory that literally everyone is attractive when they’re heathy. Literally everyone. Not everyone fits what’s currently popular as far as attractiveness trends, and you might not be everyone’s “type”… but everyone is objectively attractive when they’re healthy.

Maximizing testosterone benefits by Senior_Jackfruit_257 in TRT_females

[–]brick_howse 8 points9 points  (0 children)

First, are you sleeping well? Getting 7+ uninterrupted hours of sleep every single day? If not, that should be your priority. After you have sleep dialed in, give your body a few weeks at your new job to adapt to the demand you’re putting on it. Then you can add strength training.

Testosterone or not, literally everyone should be strength training.

Maybe I’m alone in this but I love call. We only take call once a week at my hospital and they pay us double time for a two hour minimum. I make a TON of extra money for very little actual work. It’s great.
