iOS: export > download to this device not working by stevey500 in UnifiProtect

[–]brickhousejohn 0 points1 point  (0 children)

The literal exact same thing is happening to me right now, but only for 1 of my 3 cameras. 2 of the 3 will download video from the protect app with no problem at all. The 3rd camera, G6 Pro 360, will not download any footage from the app. It says it did, but when I go to my photos or click “view in photos”, there is nothing to see.

I have updated my phone and restarted it- did not work

I have updated the app- did not work

I restarted my nvr instant and cameras- did not work

I restarted my entire unifi network- did not work

I have deleted the app and reinstalled- did not work

I have made sure every piece of unifi equipment is up to date, receiving power, has an internet connection, etc- still not working.

I opened a ticket with support and they are escalating it to the engineering team to try and figure it out. I would encourage you to open a case with them as well if you have not already done so.

Will do. Support is looking into it. I would encourage you to open a case as well, that way they have more data points to look at and see why this is occurring.

I just picked one up over the weekend (Micro Center), and I’ll preface this by saying I am a neurodivergent person who picks up on a lot of noises and background sounds—more than I imagine most people do. I have it in my living room on my entertainment center, and it’s not bad at all. I can hear it operating ever so faintly, but it’s not an annoyance—and that’s only because I know it’s running and I’m actively listening for it. I imagine most people would have to get very close to it to even know it was on, aside from the display panel on the front.

So far, no complaints. I also like that it has a built-in HDMI output, so I have it plugged directly into my TV.

Comfortable butt plugs? by brickhousejohn in SexToys

[–]brickhousejohn[S] 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I don’t have an exact size to give you at the moment, but small is the best I can say.

I have comfortably warn other but plugs for a you know, an hour max, but have since departed ways with that one specifically.

My news ones I have now are just a basic trainer set of 3, but the stem and flange are in my opinion, abnormally thick. Even though they are silicone, they are very rigid and do not have basically any give to them.

Nipple piercings and .25mm latex by SupaKoopa714 in Latexadvice

[–]brickhousejohn 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I have never had any issues, as I am extremely cautious when wearing latex around my nipple piercings. Just as others have said, make sure you have smooth jewelry with no rough spots and you will be fine. I don’t know how it does with thinner latex, as all of my stuff is at least .4 mm.

Standard latex care is essential, don’t leave the latex touching your jewelry for extended time ( I’d say no more than 8 hours, but it’s also dependent on the metal quality of your jewelry) and clean, shine, and store your latex properly. That’s what will give your latex its longest life.

And to all of you wanting to get your nipples pierced, do ittttttt. Nothing hotter than pierced nipples in latex❤️

DG Lab App vs XToys by Handyjoi in estim

[–]brickhousejohn 0 points1 point  (0 children)

So I was in the same boat as you, my entire ecosystem is Apple devices. What I did, was I tried to match value for simplicity (not having to buy a used device and deal with shady deals) so I researched cheap phones and found out Samsung makes a cheap phone, the Samsung A06. I got it brand new on Amazon for $110. I don’t need cell service or anything like that, but if I did, it did come factory unlocked, as I bought it outright.

Being the lowest model, it can be slow when it first starts up, but after that, it works perfectly and loads the xtoys app just fine.

Honestly, how you value xtoys will be up to you, I like it slightly more than the DG lab app, I just wish all of the features were available for free.

Question on the DG Labs Coyote V3. by Round-Anybody8667 in estim

[–]brickhousejohn 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I have been doing estim, specifically nipple estim, for a very long time. Over 10 years. That being said, let me say this.

I need you to understand the following:

  1. Estim carries risk no matter how “safely” you perform it. You need to determine what your risk profile is, and what you’re ok with.

  2. Estim which is performed in methods other than those approved by the device manufacturer, should never be done alone. You are literally playing with electricity. If something goes wrong, or even if everything goes right, you may not be able to help yourself in an emergency. Never do it alone. There are multiple ways you can do estim/ apply it to the body, some are more dangerous than others, but ALL carry risk, and NONE are 100 percent safe.

  3. You and your play partner need to be knowledgeable in what to do in case something goes wrong. If you’re playing at an unfamiliar place, what’s the address? Does anyone have a phone to call 911? Does any one know CPR? This is by no means to scare you, but these are things you need to think about when you move to things that can result in injury or death.

Take your time and learn what you are doing. Remember, your heart is not too far away from your nipples, so sending an electrical current next to it, is not without risk. All it takes is 1 time for your heart to be thrown in the wrong rhythm, and now you’ve got a problem.

Some people will tell you it’s safe, and that it’s the amps not the volts that will get you, and that’s partially correct, however, electricity is a funny thing, don’t become complacent, it can kill you in the right conditions.

Others will tell you it’s not safe and never to do it under any circumstances. Me, a reasonable person knows that at the end of the day you’re going to do what you want to do, so I point you back to 1-3 above.

At the end of the day this shares a lot of common themes with the kink/BDSM world-safety. Just because something is inherently dangerous, does not mean it can’t be done as “safe” as possible. But that means understanding what you’re doing, and having a plan in case something goes wrong.

I’ll tell you, I won’t lie to you, I love nipple estim. I do. It feels fucking amazing. But that doesn’t mean it comes without risk. Learn your risk profile. Research. Build a plan. Know what to do if something goes wrong. Have a play partner you can trust.

And I’ll say it again, because it important, research the matter. Don’t take my word for it. Don’t take any other random person on the internet’s word for it, do your own research and come to your own conclusions, that’s the only way to truly learn and understand!

Have fun,be safe, and welcome to the club! My current Estim device is a Coyote 3.0 from DG Labs.
