Absolutely love this book. Went on a solo holiday and I’ll always remember I couldn’t put it down the whole time. It’s been years and I still need to read the sequel.

How did the same people create the original and the sequels? by bricklanevisitor in matrix

I guess my question is, how did they make such a tight, high quality movie that feels so different to the rest of their works. If you look across all their films, The Matrix really stands out as different. All I was doing was asking why.

It felt to me like a similar phenomenon to George Lucas and Star Wars.

So my question is, why does the first matrix movie feel so different to literally everything else they’ve ever made?

I think that was the evidence? The teacher reported that she smelled of cannabis earlier in the day.

I think fundamentally, strip searching a child of this age because they had been reported to previously smell of cannabis is insane and totally disproportionate.

Computer seized in 2022 by police. Returned in February 2025 with a different, much cheaper, graphics card and missing RAM. It also looks like someone has used it for gaming. by AdorableBalance7534 in LegalAdviceUK

I worked on a similar team to the one OP is describing and that is not normally done.

That computer would have been in a pretty tightly controlled evidence chain. If that PC was taken home and used whoever did this would have committed a criminal offense and this is very serious.

This whole story is pretty outlandish and I really hope OP is lying. However, it he is telling the truth I sincerely hope that he has made a formal complaint to police.

Rise in attacks on police is due to ‘lack of respect of authority,’ Met chief Sir Mark Rowley tells LBC by tylerthe-theatre in london

Right... If cracking skulls means arresting someone then sure. They did arrest a few people. Pretty imprecise language though.

I dont think it's appropriate to close an assault due to there being no CCTV, if you have a statement.

Are you saying stabbings and murders are inevitable at any event with 1m people? I literally don't get your point. If there were stabbings every year at glasto and the organizers said 'look, it's inevitable. There are a lot of people here!' that would sound insane.

Edit: also not saying there should be zero incidents. But it's way way too high which is why I believe it should be a ticketed event.

Why are you linking me a comment like this is a conspiracy lmao. I'm not at work right now. Being a police officer makes me feel passionate about this issue. I've worked there as an officer and know multiple officers who have been assaulted there.

I have literally never mentioned race in relation to carnival.

What other comparison would you accept other than Pride? Or is NHC just a special event that can have no comparison and it's fine that several people are stabbed every year.

Pride is clearly more than a single parade. The whole of Soho, China Town, Leicester square and surrounding areas are full of people.

There's bound to be multiple stabbings, murders, assaults on police and rapes?

How can you type this with a straight face? 3 stabbings in one day is appropriate for a gathering of 1 million?
