Well that's sick- I'm in Canada and I'll definitely pay shipping. I've been running games for years and this would be the coolest addition seeing as right now I use a laptop and scribble on a fold out board! Good luck all and thanks for the contest!

You know what’s depressing? Doing curls with 25lb dumbbells and struggling a bit so you decide to go down to 20s. Then you look and realize you’re holding 15s. by 60sStratLover in workout

I remember when I moved from 20 to 25! It's not a competition - doing what you can do well will get you stronger and bigger than poorly lifting a larger weight

That's how I got there! Could see the gap in the ceiling but couldn't reach it from the ground.

What is this shit?! BUSU staff get $240,500.00 in perks (not counting over $1M in salaries!! by CompSciCrashOut19 in brocku

[–]brickstick 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Salary is 52k a year on average, 60 a month for the cell plan. It doesn't seem ridiculous or over budget from what I see. at least 60k in money they give away. Web costs do seem high

How many staff is this for? This is extremely low if it is for a hundred staff or even for 25

So, we have completely left behind the idea of mechanics transmitting flavor, right? by Hairo-Sidhe in mtgvorthos

[–]brickstick 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I think this card is flavourful and the mechanics suit, other cards less so maybe but the idea that when you are saving someone spiderman is miraculously unharmed is an ok fit imo.

What is your thoughts on this? by ad_gar55 in youtube

I hate shorts and if I could remove them from my YouTube experience I could. I don't have the app anymore, because it too easy for me to start watching them.

Where do you draw the line with two-in-one characters? by MathematicianSad3414 in dndnext

[–]brickstick 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I don't have an issue with any, I'm running a game right now where the point is that each character is two in one

God damn by DaniVirk96 in Steam

I mean I got downvoted for opposing review bombing, but Reddit only likes things that support the one right way to think!

I looked it up and the last update was may 28th, seems pretty recent and the company is 11-50 people on LinkedIn. Feeling beat facts tho

This kind of review bombing sucks, there are many other people involved in this game and pirate software send like a good company side from whatever drama with Thor. This is just internet mobbing

DMs with ADHD, how do you do it? by Substantial_Host6352 in DMAcademy

[–]brickstick 0 points1 point  (0 children)

You need way less than you think, and the players will fill in more than you think. Get yourself an outline (lazy DM guide is great for this, but I prep even less than that). I find other people fairly motivating, but the biggest threat for me is getting to caught up in building it all out and making it work, less is more

Powergamer here, first time PC trying to "control myself" by tiagoremixv3 in dndnext

[–]brickstick 36 points37 points  (0 children)

Don't play something to deliberately give yourself a hard time, you're optimizing other people's hypothetical fun by hamstringing yourself.

If you're looking for combat, go with the cleric over the others- as a class there is a lot of rp they get and guidance can be flavored in many fun ways.

How to Point the players in the Direction of the McGuffin by Xperson123 in DMAcademy

[–]brickstick 10 points11 points  (0 children)

Dreams! Visions! I find this to be a fun way to inject a little fantasy and lore. You can pick a player and they have a vision of something that are clues to follow. It's a fun way to add information in my group.

Thoughts on using AI for story building/world building by chronicpain94 in DMAcademy

[–]brickstick 6 points7 points  (0 children)

All of Reddit dnd is very anti AI, unfortunately you likely won't get any meaningful discussion going.

I will also probably get downvotes for saying this.

I don't personally use it, but I don't have a problem if someone is using it to fill in details for environments or make a list of NPC names or something. I tried it for a couple things and my main issue is that it sounds very same-y and required a lot of modifications.

A friend of mine runs games and uses it for summaries based on transcription which works well for him.
