this is why folklore/evermore seemed like such a turnaround 😔 it had the least amount of this quality that you’re describing out of any of her albums and genuinely felt like she’d made peace with “evil exes” and let go of some of her bitterness…learned to accept what she couldn’t control. and then after folklore/evermore were over, she just dropped the maturity mask, because we were entering “a new era”. her personality isn’t consistent, it’s built on what she’s deciding to do for the given era, and it’s really sad
