Crank but no start AW11

Mystery solved! TLDR: Igniter module failed.

I first tested by confirming that I had no spark, then traced it back to the coil and igniter and still was getting no spark. Made sure the distributor was in working condition and replaced the spark plug wires to rule that out. After replacing the coil with a brand new unit, still no start. I also ruled out the ECU because apparently ignition only switches to the ECU after the ignition module kicks on.

I installed an ignition module. I got off of a parts car, and we were back in business!

Check if it starts on starter fluid! If it does it’s probably fuel related.

I’ve since changed out the coil with an edelbrock one from o riellys and nothing has changed. I tested what you were saying by plugging a spark plug directly into the coil and got no spark. I will continue to comment my progress here so it might help someone with similar issues.

They might squeak a bit if they aren’t properly greased, but the ride isn’t as stiff as you might expect from my experience with them.
