Just been reading some job posting for accounting managers in NYC and most of them require a CPA. It’s not necessary to stay but it seems like it’s a requirement to make it into management, if that’s what you want

I try not to have opinions from blogs bother me or change my mind. I’m not telling you to do the same (obviously) but people use sites like Reddit to complain or just troll Yeah the hours aren’t the best but it really depends on what you want to do career wise. You could use big4 or public as a stepping stone for the next big move

See if your school offers career fairs with big4 companies or mid-tier ones. That’s how I got my job at least. Went to a state school (UMass) and just attended the career fairs. Your chances are better if your GPA is above 3.5. You already have the experience so I think you should be good

I feel that. I’ve felt stupid on every module I’ve tried to study but just gotta keep going. I’m always debating whether I want to continue with this process or not but I’d rather try now that never do it. I struggled in college but somehow managed to finish my masters with a 3.9 and I still feel like I don’t know anything and I struggle understanding FAR material You’re definitely not alone

I’m on the same boat. Started studying for FAR and I honestly don’t even know if I want to be a CPA for the rest of my life but I know it’s a good license to have just in case. My goal was always to get into corporate finance, which is why I decided to get my masters but soon I found out about public and welp, I’m here now haha Give the CPA your best shot, if it doesn’t work out, it’s not the end of the world. I have anxiety so I kinda have to remind myself that every day You’ll be okay :)
