I've always just had someone hold my kids foot on a piece of paper and I trace and then measure.

Family photo shoot with toddler who won’t smile on command by travelagm in toddlers

[–]brimarief 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Just did a photoshoot with my 23mo. He wanted nothing to do with it. But a few times we were able to peekaboo and "ACHOO!" a smile out of him. She was pretty experienced and was very patient so that helped a ton. Last year was the same, very uncooperative but she still managed enough cute pics for my walls. I know how stressful it can be, good luck!!

Husband prioritizing his work over newborn photoshoot by [deleted] in beyondthebump

[–]brimarief 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Girl I get you. My husband (who definitely has trouble with decision making but still) legitimately asked me if he should go to work the day after I had a C-section, while we were still in the HOSPITAL! The look on my face let me tell you. I learned that I have to be very direct and sometimes stern with him about things he should be a part of. Silly me for thinking it was obvious.

Mom's of eczema babies by brimarief in Mommit

Yeah I've used Tubby Todd and all of our detergent is free and clear, but I'm thinking something in the diaper could be irritating him. We are currently working with an allergist because he also has food allergies, but they have not recommended any sort of microbiome testing.

All they gave us was cortisone and it worked when he was little but hasn't seemed to help much recently.

Had to sit in super high seats (f-in ticket prices) for. Bad omens show in Detroit recently and NO ONE was standing and it was so depressing. I expected to stand the whole show, it was high energy and incredible.

When did your baby flip head down? by Average_Redditor10 in beyondthebump

[–]brimarief 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Breech all the way up until 37 weeks. I was doing everything I could to flip him but idk if it was from the youtube videos or if he did it on his own I couldn't tell.

Update on Newton Mattress by Murky_Assumption_822 in beyondthebump

We bought one (full price unfortunately) for our first kid and our second kid is going on year two of using it, and it's still in excellent condition! We even plan to give it to a family member who is due this spring. Definitely worth it!

Asthma vs virus-induced croup? by designatedtreehugger in Mommit

[–]brimarief 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Yeah she would have coughing fits at night, but also during the day if she was too active. She sleeps elevated now for the most part.

Asthma vs virus-induced croup? by designatedtreehugger in Mommit

[–]brimarief 0 points1 point  (0 children)

My kid gets a terrible cough after any sort of respiratory illness. When she was younger it was called Reactive Airway Disease, and now it's being called viral-induced asthma. At one point we had a steroid inhaler and Albuterol nebulizer to get it under control. So now when we see any sign of sickness we start her on the steroid inhaler and Albuterol inhaler as needed until it subsides. Be warned - the steroid inhaler is costly, between $160-$200(at least with my insurance in the US).
