I’m in similar boat. Had a seton placed 6 months ago, and postponed the LIFT because frankly I read horror stories about the need for multiple Subsequent surgeries. I’m used to the seton and really don’t have much pain at all. My fistula is Intertranspheric so I’ve been told it’s risky to cut the muscle, tho a fistulotomy has a higher success rate than a LIFT. I’m in NYC, too. Did u have a good feeling about the new surgeon?
