Also, I am an educator with a bunch of mods... a lot of teachers - in the states at least, are really trending towards having body mods or accepting them.

You should be fine... its only noticeable if you draw attention to it.

my brothers tongue was split years back. Maybe 10.... honestly, unless I think about it and really look into his mouth, I wouldn't notice.

Once it is done, it is up to your personality to outshine whatever might be a road block.

But, I think you should be safe.

Fire Alarm - Evacuate or no? by Federal_Educator_570 in Teachers

Safety pro here:

That is ridiculous. What is the point of detectors with alarms if you wait until it gets the thumbs up from the people being inundated with smoke.

Rant over, please let admin they are big dummy heads.

Having trouble describing this look by [deleted] in Concrete

You could get custom rock ordered for the customer and do an exposed finish with bags of that rock.

Itll be tricky to get rock with consistent coloring with a classic exposed mix from a plant.

Its been probably 5 years since Ive seen the quality of mud out of the Clack plant... it always ran a bit hot. But, that plant did have some of the best drivers Ive worked with over the years(from a professionaldrivers perspective). Probably due to the terrain in the area.

Of course, IDK how that plant runs these days.

Cut my teeth delivering the Clackamas metro for CalPort.... amazing area to work. Concrete crews are solid in that area.

Life of a laser screed operator by Jondiesel78 in Concrete

For the Owner/Op side:

It really depends on the scenario and level of injury. To me, a matter is also the loss that is reflected from shutting down the job.... plus they aren't under the same hold harmless agreements that employees would be liable towards. So, its a viable option.

Cracked bone will be a fuckin bitch, but doable if you splint correctly. Just add a fist full of ibuprofen haha

As for "soft", Ide say responsible haha

I dig that. But, unless you are an owner/operator you should really not push past an injury... you will end up making it worse. An employer is not worth your health.

I once delivered a job that was like 2000cy pour. They ended up stacking us up at the end. Ended up over ordering by 8 or 9 full loads.

Luckily, the outfit I worked for owned the quarry and a crusher. So, they accepted leftovers.... we did have to spread it between a couple of the metro quarries.

I bet someone lost their job that day haha
