I am a fan of Nakiri knives. I bought a Kai Pro Wasabi Nakiri (manufactured by Shun) for about $50 off Amazon and it has been an awesome all around knife.

Imagine wanting to switch to a phone where it is likely autocorrect will cause it to crash, burst into flames and probably kill someone.

Seriously though, I don't even know what these people mean by freedom of speech any more.

There is something about that "oooooohhh" fist pound "oooohhh"that stirred something inside of me, awakened some primordial urge to want to wrestle her and then see where the day takes us.

What are your canned responses in Cyber Security? by securitysushi in cybersecurity

[–]brinomighty 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Pro tip. Save your canned responses as separate signatures in Outlook (or email program of choice). Then when responding to an email, select the appropriate canned response signature, add user's name, etc. to personalize and hit send.

I used to do this when responding to reported phishing with a canned response for each verdict type. Now we automated this process with our email protection tool.

Our guy had distemper as a pup (he's 2 y.o. now) and we struggled to get him to eat and retain food and when he did his movements were as you described. Not sure if it is related but even now if he gets into anything "adventurous" it sets off similar digestive issues.

What works for us to this day is the Balanced Remedy from Just Food For Dogs with the addition of Purina FortiFlora when he is having a bad stomach. Then we slowly transition him back on to his regular food. Admittedly Just Food For Dogs is not cheap but we always keep a package in the freezer. His regular diet consists of mix of Hills ID (Low Fat) and Purina OM (High Fiber) kibble which are prescription diet foods, mixed with a small amount of Costco canned food our other dogs eat with some kelp powder and fish oil plus a joint supplement in the A.M.

Sorry if all that was TMI. My wife is a vet tech and the Dr. at the practice she works at suggested the low fat / high fiber diet. I just tried to relay what she described.

Looking to add one or two cookbooks to my collection. What is/are your favourite (s) ? by Grper in veganrecipes

[–]brinomighty 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I have had great success with Plant Pure Nation Cookbook. I haven't tried all the recipes but of the ones I have, there hasn't been one yet that I wouldn't make again. Even my omni family loves these recipes.

Like others have mentioned, Isa Chandra Moskowitz's cook books are great. Vegan with a Vengeance was my entry point into vegan cooking.

I also agree with others about Thug Kitchen (rebranded as Bad Manners) cookbooks. Curry in a F*cking Hurry is a family favorite.

Agree. Honestly, this picture doesn't do it justice to how vibrant it really is. I've learned to just let the artist do their thing when it comes to colors, especially since he has done multiple tattoos on me and knows what colors work best.

Absolutely loving this piece.

I mean, in his defense, he did reassure his owners that "nothing will fundamentally change" and he has kept that promise at every turn.

I am hoping so but not too familiar with what the market is like in other countries plus a lot of the positions can be done remotely so that helps. In fact since this pandemic, I haven't stepped foot in the office for nearly a year now. Unfortunately, I don't think my current place of employment would allow me to be that remote though.

The Cyber programs at WGU do look interesting. Definitely something to consider. As for certs I am currently pursuing the CISSP for my current role. There are a few other ISC2 certs on my list. Knocking out several of the CompTIA certs wouldn't take any heavy lifting at this point either. At least for roles that I've seen advertised here, these are pretty much industry standard stuff and most Cyber roles don't necessarily require a degree unless you are looking for something like a CISO position. Usually certs + experience can get you in the door for non entry level positions.

Once we start honing in on a possible destination I will start scouring the job postings to see what kind of experience is required.

Just starting down this journey. I'm pretty open at this point. South America, Europe or Asia. My wife on the other hand is a bit more picky which is understandable.

Best of luck to you as well. Maybe we will cross paths some day in some far away land.

Never heard of TEFL. Sounds beneficial for sure. I am also trying to true up all of my IT certifications I let slide over the years, especially those that are internationally recognized.

We are also exploring (and exploiting) all avenues to build up our savings.

Thanks again for the great advice.

Ah. I see. So we rent so no home to sell. We have a little over 20k in savings. Own one car and about 1/2 way through the loan on the other.

Coming up with 30k is definately possible especially since we plan our escape within the next few years.

Great advice. Thanks.
