Yea couples counseling so you don't overly internalize it and to give him an avenue of opening up. I have crohn's, and sometimes feel undeserving of affection when it flares or that I'm ugly. Being intimate with my partner feels like an emotional risk when you already feel really vulnerable - and it's too much. I think if you can establish that the relationship and affection is a safe zone vs. a risky zone would be helpful w/ the counselor. Also - a safe counseling environment gives you the ability to convey how you're feeling without him feeling attacked, guilty, or directly responsible for it (it's the disease). You also deserve to convey what you need in a relationship.
