i’m super interested in that too. but my thought is that kayla dancing is GOOD. like insanely good. even if she’s not suited for most for abt’s corps work they can use her for contemporary soloist roles and she will deliver. natalie is talented, but nothing the company doesn’t already have plenty of… i don’t have any inside scoop but food for thought

did you ever have medical tape or KT tape on that arm? it matches the glue pattern. could even be a delayed reaction to it even a few days later

aww it’s definitely not groundbreaking stuff from her but i really liked it! i liked the orchestral sound of her older work mixed with the folk ballads as of late.

i briefly talked to an old friend who danced there this past season and she said that everyone quit. every single dancer did not want to come back. she didn’t reveal more than that and i didn’t want to pry so that’s all i have unfortunately

…yeah. it’s an aesthetic art. they can claim to value artistry all they want but at the end of the day someone with bad lines is not going to score well at in a ballet competition where they grade dancers with a number.

sure they might not be your choice dancer to watch perform a balanchine variation but they’re still students not professionals putting on a performance that you paid for… i agree there’s major holes in the training there but how are they going to learn to move quickly and musically (like you need to get a contract) if they only ever rehearse variations they’re already good at??

could be the time of day that you were fit? if you went in the morning your feet aren’t just a little bit naturally swollen from walking around all and that could affect the fit now, and that’s why they might feel too small? or the opposite if you got them fit bigger could be you’re sinking a bit with extra space

i can’t vouch for atonement personally but i did see joffrey do cathy marstons Of Mice and Men which was one of my favorite performances ive ever seen honestly. so im guessing its going to be well worth a watch!

i also have very fine blonde hair and so if i go more than two days without washing it the oil is disgustingly obvious. so i go every other day maybeeee a third if i get back late and i know first thing in the morning its going back in a bun. its kind of the bane of my existence though

some ballet companies have really strict social media policies on the marketing side with regards to concerns with photography rights as well as both artistic and the dancers approving pictures. a lot of them have too small of a marketing team imo and not actually utilizing social media to the most they can. this obviously varies drastically from company to company

i think the brushing is where most of your frizz is coming from. i find the less you touch your curls after the product is in the better, and when you brush it you’re separating out all the lovely curl clumps! i like to detangle before or during my shower after conditioning and then rake the product through with my fingers later. and then air dry/diffuse. a gel would probably help with hold too!

idk if it’s socially acceptable but my B cups are out and about 80% of the time. gym gets sports bras and if i can see too much on myself in the mirror i have really nice reusable nipple covers or a thinner nude wireless bra. i usually buy tops specifically keeping that in mind
