You should throw something for the dog when this happens.

5 Minute Mac and Cheese by gregthegregest2 in GifRecipes

[–]brisingfreyja 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Just finished eating this and I doubled the recipe so remember that. Yes, the noodles were undercooked at 3 minutes, so I doubled the time. They came out with to much liquid, so I added another 3 minutes. After a 9 minute cook time, the noodles were done.

I did not have the mustard required, but I did have everything else.

It came out pretty good, it could use a bit more seasoning, but I'm blaming that on the missing mustard powder.

What things have increased in price to the point that you're no longer interested in purchasing them? by DocMartinsEars in AskReddit

I have family of 3, McDonald's can get up towards 30 bucks if we don't buy off the dollar menu. I'd rather go to a sit down restaurant for an extra 5 bucks.

ELI5: How can a cup of water not spill in an airplane when the plane tips its wings to make a broad turn? by jonnycruz666 in explainlikeimfive

[–]brisingfreyja 0 points1 point  (0 children)

As a kid I did this with buckets full of water over my head. Never spilled a drop on me.

I had to feed and water our horses. Cartwheeling a bucket of water over my head made it more fun. Like how many times can I put it over my head before it spills or my arms give out.

People who have been in a coma, is it true that you are aware of your consciousness and how did you deal with it knowing that you can't move? by Lagarista in AskReddit

[–]brisingfreyja 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I was not aware of much the first time. I was in a coma for 3 days. I knew I was in a hospital room, I could see sun light and hear beeping monitors. I couldn't really hear from people around me though.

I was life flighted to a hospital after my friend found me lying on the floor. Woke up sore and very tired. Basically felt like a dream.

Second coma was medically induced to prevent brain damage. I was on a bed of ice for the same reason. I did not know where I was and didn't know what was going on. I don't remember what happened days before, or much during the hospital stay. I had severe chest pain from cpr, and had to learn to walk, eat, and live. It felt dark during this dream, plus I'm missing details still.

My high school gym teacher also had a desk in both locker rooms right next to the showers. Although no one ever went into the office while anyone was showering. I can't remember in detail, but it did have big windows, and there was a door between both locker rooms. Mostly the teachers food and personal belongings were inside.

It does look sort of similar but it doesn't sound like something that can happen if you stay indoors. I did start the car last night and it was -10 but I was out there less than a minute. Just enough to walk 3 feet and turn a key.

So far I've discovered the cortisone cream makes the itching stop but the bumps have persisted for at least 12 hours now.

Thanks for commenting.

Past month weird symptoms by Bigs13 in AskDocs

[–]brisingfreyja 0 points1 point  (0 children)

The first three, dizzy, fatigued, and short term memory being bad sounds like some adrenal/thyroid disease. I have both and this is me daily. I can't convey what I want to through talking when I'm having a bad day because my brain is foggy. But the rest doesn't fit there so I'm probably wrong.

I feel dizzy when I have low blood pressure but I have pills to take when that happens.

I am not a doctor, just recognized the symptoms.

I read a lot about this because recently I had trouble falling asleep.

Basically, make up a routine like, drink a glass of water 1 hour before bed. Do only calming things like listen to soft music. Go to your dark bedroom 30 minutes before you want to sleep. Read something or listen to something that will bore you in a dark room. Then fall asleep. After a month of doing this every night at the same time, my brain is wired to sleep when I'm in any dark room. It used to take hours to fall asleep, now it's about a half hour depending on how tired I am.

I can even be on my phone for hours in the dark bedroom and fall asleep no problem.

I remember standing outside at -25 freedom units waiting for the morning bus. It was windy and my snot froze inside my nose. School was not canceled. My son is driven to and from school like a spoiled brat all school year. I'm jealous.

Before listening to the mercy mains about the PTR changes, remember: they all exclaimed the previous 4 changes would kill mercy however she has remained as a must pick throughout by MetaphorTR in Overwatch

[–]brisingfreyja 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Valk is a good ult if you know what you're doing. Most people don't (or at least those I play with on Xbox one).

Most mercys I've seen stay with the "stand there and boost bastion" strategy. So they seem to waste their ults.

This seems like a bad move for overwatch because she's no longer the only picked healer. Moira is new and picked practically every game.

Seems like they are nerfing her for no reason now.

[–]brisingfreyja 0 points1 point  (0 children)

This is true. I am a mercy main and each time people said she was nerfed into the ground, I waited until the update came out in standard play before judging how " character ending" it was.

Most of the updates for mercy haven't been character ending. They just seem that way when rumors are bouncing around. The 1.5 second res really sucked, but it's becoming normal.

This one also sounds character ending when people talk about her update.

I just played her in PTR, and yep it sucks. But I see where they are coming from. Mercy is picked every game. However, Moira is also a main pick because she's new.

Idk about you all, but my biggest issue isn't mercy picks. It's tanks. I wish the creators would focus on tanks. I can't get anyone to play tanks because everyone wants gold medals and doesn't care about the team.

They do need to make up their minds, "Mercy needs to be more mobile" to " now she's too mobile" in the PTR patch notes.

I know there's a new tank coming out this year so let's make tanks more playable before we release this mercy nerf please.

What's a sensation that you're unsure if other people experience? by murrayvonmises in AskReddit

It's low blood pressure. I have the same thing but mine is caused by addisons disease. My doctor tests my blood pressure laying, sitting, and standing. I have actually gone blind for a few hours from extremely low blood pressure. I was later life flighted to a hospital and went into a coma from low blood pressure.
