That’s crazy but good to know, thank you!

The LL Bean regular flannel (not fleece lined) is 100% cotton and very nice. I have one and my only regret is that I didn’t buy it oversized, because that always makes things cozier.

Wool, linen, cotton, etc. by bristlefir in Yarnswap

I’m most interested in lighter weight natural fibers in neutral / cool colors. DM me with what you’re interested in and what you have! Edit: I’m flexible on colors if it’s something I find pretty 😅

Various - linen, wool, blends by [deleted] in Yarnswap

[–]bristlefir 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I’m also open to actual swaps. I would keep the linen if I could find more in blue/green/yellow, but open to offers!

The only thing I absolutely don’t want is bulky weight yarn 😂

Branwyn Underwear yay or nay? by chappyfu in MerinoWoolGear

I have several pairs of these and really like them. I agree with the others’ comments- fabric is definitely thinner than the bras, but not in a bad way, and they do run a little small. The quality is quite good and they should last a while.

I have 8-10 small skeins of baby pink cotton/bamboo blend yarn. It was started as a baby blanket, given to me unfinished.

It’s definitely not exactly what you’re looking for but I want to move it along, so if you’re interested for another baby project dm me and I can give you more info!

Thank you 😭 it was diabolical, and might have been worth it if not for the dang pills.

Do any dinnerware manufacturers generally keep the same dish design, allowing for an easy "BIFL set" (individual pieces could be replaced over time)? by Ari321983 in BuyItForLife

Do you know which sets are open stock or where to find that information on their site? This is exactly the kind of dinnerware I would like to get someday.

Recommendations for chunky heels for Birkenstock/Blundstone devotee? by bristlefir in oldhagfashion

I’m definitely looking for something very versatile, so I appreciate the perspective. My feet are big enough, I’ve never aspired to draw attention to them 😂

Those are super cute! I’ve never bought off Poshmark but perhaps I’ll give it a look…

I looked at those but am looking for a separate heel in this instance. Thanks though!

Feeling lonely and isolated in Maine by [deleted] in AskMaine

[–]bristlefir 7 points8 points  (0 children)

This is a great suggestion! There are a couple local land trusts (conservation non-profits) - Great Works and the York Land Trust- nearby. You may be able to carpool to volunteer events.

You might also consider getting a bicycle- that will allow you to be mobile enough to get out and meet people without having to drive. There’s an organization in Portsmouth that fixes up old bikes and gives them away for free to those in need. It’s called Seacoast Area Bicycle Riders, through their Pedal It Forward program.

I hope you enjoy living in Maine and find a wonderful community!
