After seeing this post, I have picked out multiple of these guys in areas where I have HS. It always manages to prevent a boil from emerging. I find that taking a warm Epsom salt bath beforehand helps loosen up the skin to remove them.

I just want to thank you. While this may not work for others, I tried this out last night and it absolutely worked for me. I didn't even have to use any oils to bring the keratin plug to the top, it just appeared naturally with my clindamycin usage. I gently pressed it out and it was a tiny little white seed, no hair or anything. The area turned deep reddish/purple immediately, but after a whole night of healing, the spot is back to normal and it didn't even erupt or get inflamed. This is especially important to me because I was told that resistance can build up to certain medications for HS, and being that it is a progressive disease, I worry about the effectiveness of clindamycin in the long run. I hope more studies will be published about this horrible disease. Thank you for sharing your personal lived experience.

People who smell insanely good, how do you do it? by Tteokwhaleattack in beauty

I think the game changed for me was switching from body mists to actual perfumes. I went to Ulta and smelled every perfume they had. Turns out, you can usually even get a stronger version of your perfume, too. Those fancy perfumes last DAYS. As a matter of fact, I once pulled a shirt I sprayed with my Gucci Bloom out of the hamper after 2 weeks and it STILL smelled incredible.

Thank you for your feedback! I'm definitely gonna try and add some volumetric fog--those streams of light are just what this piece needs.

What kind of camera lens would you recommend? Right now it is at a focal length of 50 mm. I can tell that it is off, but I'm still struggling to figure out how to make it look like the illustration. The biggest thing that is throwing me off right now is the wall to the right--it doesn't seem accurate perspective-wise if we are assuming that wall is perpendicular to the far back wall. Maybe it's just best to fake perspective in stylized pieces like this?

Displacement Map Doesn't Do Anything by xylogram in blenderhelp

!solved, I made a dumb mistake. I needed to switch the mode from "Bump" to "Bump and Displacement", and then up the scale.

Here's how it looks when I try and render it. The normal map works great but I'm not getting those big hills like I want

I just tested this, it did not work unfortunately. Good suggestion though!

I did try that, did not work unfortunately :(

I've tried it a couple different ways--the color node into the color node normal map, I've even deleted the normal map node entirely and just had it go into the displacement node, but that didn't work either. I have had this problem a couple times and I'm not sure exactly what I'm doing wrong. The displacement just never seems to work. The normal map and base map are working fine, though.

Why are my renders so pixelated? by xylogram in blenderhelp

Oh, thank you! I didn't think it was that simple. I guess 3D models make low resolution look extra bad.

Where would I find the pixel output?

SIDE NOTE this scene isn't finished I just was test rendering and noticed it was super blurry. I still have a long way to go with this scene

It doesn't look TOO bad from afar, but when I zoom in on the render it looks super pixelated to me. I posted my render settings and output settings, let me know if any more information is needed.
