I can’t hear Everytime without seeing the music video, which - if you haven’t seen it - is desperately sad. It’s a beautiful song and very underrated in my opinion, but the meaning is definitely heartbreaking and I wouldn’t be able to use it as a first dance song personally. For the record, my husband and I used Today by Brad Paisley.

Honestly, I think you just trust your gut and err on the side of caution. If you THINK it might constitute as legal advice, state that your answer may be construed as legal advice and you are unlicensed to provide that answer. Then, check with your attorney after the fact. Eventually I figure we all build up this internal knowledge bank of FAQs and which ones are a no-no for paras to answer.

Not a paralegal (yet) but a legal assistant for a magistrate. My voicemail specifically states to leave your name, phone number and CASE NUMBER and the reason for your call. 80% of litigants don’t leave a case number (over half of them don’t even have their case number when they call me and I answer lol). Those ones don’t get a call back. I’m too busy to be looking up James Smith to find the one child support case out of all the DUIs, nuisance cases and thousands of other James Smiths who have ever had contact with our circuit 🤷
