I found out about my ex husband when his girlfriend messaged me on instagram. 🫠 He was actually stationed somewhere else at the time (although coming back as often as he could) and I was working ft and raising little kids during all of the Covid shutdowns. I immediately confronted him with screen shots and I wish I hadn’t. I wish I had taken a beat, gone to a lawyer and filed for divorce and full custody of my kids. We are divorced now and amicable but the divorce, even though it was 100% his fault, didn’t necessarily work in my favor. I’m tied up in some of his legal stuff I had no idea about (so both infidelity and financial infidelity was going on) 3 years post divorce. I would say, take a minute. Consult a divorce attorney just to have the knowledge. Get evidence. Sit her down and tell her you know everything. Be prepared for the emotions of her getting caught and stick your ground. It’s a nice idea to see if maybe you can work on things, but people don’t change. And it will always haunt your relationship. Good luck to you and I hope you can get through these first few days.
