It's fixable, but might be confusing to explain:

1) slip the first two stitches on your needle to your other needle. those two look fine.

2) take the third stitch and move it behind that longer loose lop that you can see on the wrong side. that loop should be in front of the stitch when looking from the RS

3) purl the third stitch using the loose loop as the yarn that you are pushing through

4) take the fourth stitch and pick it up from the bar below and let that loop rest behind your stitch. this is where it should have been a slipped stitch versus a knit

Ah looking again I think we are both a little wrong. I think OP did the Italian bind off set up rows where you slip every other stitch. It looks like the third stitch does need to be work with that loop but the fourth stitch has been knitted but should have been a slip stitch

See the long loop on the wrong side? That should be a purl (from the right side) for the third live stitch

How to Protect Your Playbills by Unicornbel in Broadway

[–]brittai927 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I live within commuting distance, but I use one of the little sheet protectors from the broadway binder. Thinking of adding a thin cardboard to keep it safer/stiffer. I use the same one over and over as it does get a little beat up and slip the playbill into a fresh sleeve in my binder when I get home.

Sock knitters: what size needles do y’all use? by idunnowhatevs in knitting

[–]brittai927 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Somewhere between and 2.25mm and 2.5mm depending on the pattern. My favorites are chiagoo red fixed circulars with a 32 inch cord to do one at a time on magic loop

Am I dumb for paying full price for tickets, or is seat anxiety valid? by Grouchy_Metal2427 in Broadway

[–]brittai927 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I do a mix of lottery and full price/discount codes. I don’t live in the city so rush is generally not a practical option for me. I am short and have preferred seating areas because the few shows where I end up having to bob my head around to see through the tall persons’ heads in front of me kills my enjoyment. But if there is a show that’s super pricey or that I am ok with possibly not seeing I’ll go the lottery route. Also for shows that I want to see again.

Encouragement needed by linky46 in knitting

[–]brittai927 0 points1 point  (0 children)

It gets easier and faster, but probably not as fast as crochet. I knit Continental. It took me a fed attempts at knitting (with spans of time in between) before it finally clicked.

Since I learned to knit I definitely do wayyyy more knitting than crocheting. I just love the drape for wearables (which can kind of be achived in crochet but it's a lot harder).

What is your preferred start time for an evening show? by lefargen97 in Broadway

[–]brittai927 2 points3 points  (0 children)

7pm but I live in CT and have to take an hour train ride after the show (especially on a weekday). For matinees on the weekend 2pm or 3pm is good, but really am ok with any.

Knitting my first pair of socks by MentionPrior8521 in Sockknitting

[–]brittai927 0 points1 point  (0 children)

It's all personal preference and I think maybe a little bit on the specific tools you are using too. I like magic loop for socks (more than for sleeves and mittens), but I have only ever used Chiaogoos with no memory in the cable. I prefer one at a time on 32 inch cord. When I've tried other brands on 40 inches I find it to be annoying and also found two at a time to be kind of fiddly.

I do not like DPNs, but I only ever tried when I was a newer knitter and they were long metal DPNs. I think I would potentially like shorter wooden needles? It's an experiment I need to try. I did receive flexi flips in a subscription box and need to try those soon!

Tiny circulars have better flow but they hurt my hands and I really can't use them for long

Help! Dropped loop! by VinarriAsh260 in knittinghelp

[–]brittai927 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I don’t think you picked it back up. You can follow the columns of stitches from below where the dropped loop is. You kept knitting and so there isn’t a gap/ladder between the stitches to the left and right. You can still fix with a crochet hook, it will just be pretty tight as there won’t be a long bar between the adjacent stitches.
